Abstract: Apparatuses and systems for deploying wireless connectivity across a geographical area are disclosed. A bollard for deploying the wireless connectivity includes a modem and a router to receive an Internet connection from an ISP uplink. A PoE switch receives the Internet connection from the router. A first set of wireless backhaul bridges receive the Internet connection from the PoE switch and provide the Internet connection to a second set of wireless backhaul bridges embedded within a set of bollards external to the bollard. A wireless AP receives the Internet connection from the PoE switch. The AP includes a first Wi-Fi router to provide the wireless connectivity, using the Internet connection, to a first set of client devices, and a second Wi-Fi router to provide the wireless connectivity, using the Internet connection, to a second set of client devices.

Abstract: A system includes a sensor platform, a motor capable of moving the sensor platform, a set of interfaces to receive messages from a set of mobile computing devices attached to the sensor platform, and a circuitry attached to the sensor platform in communication with the motor. A method may include obtaining a path that traverses a region that receives wireless signals from at least one access point of a plurality of access points and controlling the motor to move the sensor platform along the path. The method may include collecting a set of wireless signal values and determining whether the set of wireless signal values satisfy a set of anomaly criteria at a location of the sensor platform. The method may include stopping the motor at a location associated with the satisfaction of the set of anomaly criteria and storing the location in a set of locations.

Abstract: Techniques, apparatuses, and systems for throughput estimation for a wireless device are disclosed. Throughput estimation includes generating network traffic for transmission between two nodes. The first node transmits the network traffic to the second node. The first node receives an acknowledgement from the second node that indicates successful receipt of the network traffic. The first node determines an amount of data successfully transmitted between the two nodes based on the reception of the acknowledgement. A throughput estimate is determined based on the amount of data successfully transmitted between the two nodes.
