An apparatus may be configured to support a first control resource set and a second control resource set for a serving cell, receive a transmission configuration indicator state indication for the first control resource set for a cell other than the serving cell, and ignore, for the second control resource set, the received transmission configuration indicator state indication when the second control resource set is configured to follow a transmission configuration indicator state indication for the serving cell.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) connected to a first cell, an activation for a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state of a first configured TCI state pool associated with a second cell and further receiving a configuration of a second TCI state of a second TCI state pool associated with the second cell. The UE determines that the first activated TCI state and the second TCI state share one or more properties, and based upon the determining, activates the second TCI state of the second cell. The UE performs a cell switch to the second cell, maintaining the activated second TCI state of the second cell.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to reporting beam failure. A terminal device detects a beam failure on one or more serving cells of the terminal device. If the beam failure is detected on the one or more serving cells, the terminal device obtains information concerning one or more candidate beams and the one or more serving cells. Each of the one or more candidate beams is associated with a respective one of the one or more serving cells. The terminal device then transmits at least a portion of the information to a network device associated with the one or more serving cells.

In this way, SRS resource sets may be dynamically detached to not follow specific TCI state and used for sounding the uplink channel in an efficient manner.
