An endoscopic image observation system supports the observation of a plurality of images captured by a capsule endoscope. The endoscopic image observation system includes a distinguishing unit that outputs an accuracy score indicating the likelihood that each of the plurality of images represents an image of a region sought to be distinguished; a grouping unit that groups the plurality of images into a plurality of clusters in accordance with the accuracy score; and an identification unit that identifies a candidate image for a boundary of the region from among the plurality of images in accordance with the grouping into the plurality of clusters.
Abstract:
A processing apparatus processes an image signal generated by pixels that have received light from an object irradiated with first wavelength light. The processing apparatus includes a processor having hardware. The processor is configured to: extract first and second image signals from the image signal of one frame generated by the pixels, the first image signal being generated by a pixel that has received the first wavelength light, the second image signal being generated by a pixel that has received second wavelength light that is fluorescence emitted in response to the first wavelength light; estimate an image signal to be generated by the pixel that has received the second wavelength light, based on the first image signal; and calculate a difference, on a corresponding image signal portion, between the second image signal and the estimated image signal, thereby to obtain a differential image signal.
Abstract:
An image display device performs a playback operation to sequentially display multiple images. The image display device includes: a display unit; a relating unit that relates multiple playback positions for starting the playback operation to images corresponding in number to the number of the multiple playback positions among the multiple images; and an encoding unit that compresses and encodes the multiple images by using, as key frames, the images related to the multiple playback positions among the multiple images and by using a correlation between at least two of images among the multiple images.
