Abstract: A method is disclosed, comprising: sending position information reflecting a current position of a base station to a coordinating server; receiving a warning request message from an operator core network containing an emergency area; calculating a geographic area corresponding to an emergency tracking area by translating the emergency area from a set of base stations to the geographic area; determining whether the base station may be outside of a threshold distance from the geographic boundary of the emergency tracking area; and sending the warning request message when the base station may be within the threshold distance from the geographic boundary of the emergency tracking area.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer readable media are disclosed for providing inter virtual-eNodeB optimized handover. In one example embodiment, a method includes sending, from a first eNodeB, a handover required message to a first HetNet Gateway (HNG)/virtual eNodeB; matching a target cell in a virtual eNodeB database; receiving, at a second eNodeB, a handover request from a second HNG/virtual eNodeB; sending, by the second eNodeB, a handover request acknowledge message to the second HNG/virtual eNodeB; and performing call context switching using the virtual eNodeB database.

Abstract: A system is described which can identify inconsistent coverage (grey spots) or coverage black spots based on real time network and user reported event patterns, and dynamically improve the RF coverage in the identified areas based on UE location reporting.
A method is disclosed for providing near-RT-RIC based RF management for a network. In one embodiment, the method includes subscribing, by a near-RT RIC to the CU, real time UE reported event patterns; identifying from the reported event patterns one or more of inconsistent coverage and area where no coverage is received; reporting to the near-RT RIC when serving becomes better than a threshold or serving becomes worse than the threshold pattern fluctuations or cell-edge condition patterns with serving becomes better than a threshold or serving becomes worse than the threshold pattern fluctuations and wherein a neighbor becomes offset better than serving and neighbor becomes better than threshold; and taking dynamic corrective actions to self-heal the networks inconsistent coverage.-
