Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) radio frequency (RF) sensing with polarization configuration. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving at a network node participating in 5G NR RF sensing a first polarization indicator and a second polarization indicator from a network entity. The first polarization indicator is associated with transmission of a first reference sensing signal and the second polarization indicator is associated with reception of a second reference sensing signal. The network node performs sensing measurements using the first polarization indicator and the second polarization indicator and transmits a sensing measurement report including the sensing measurements associated with the second reference sensing signal to the network entity. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support cross link interference (CLI) mitigation in full-duplex operations. For example, a first user equipment (UE) may encode and precode a first portion of a message according to a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) and a first precoding matrix and a second portion of the message according to a second MCS and a second precoding matrix. The first precoding matrix may be based on a first communication link between the first UE and a network entity and the second precoding matrix may be based on the first communication link and a second communication link between the first UE and a second UE. The first UE may transmit the first portion of the message and the second portion of the message via beams associated with respective precoding matrices.

Abstract: In some implementations, an example method of wireless communication at a base station for wireless positioning a user equipment (UE) may comprise: transmitting, to a different device, assistance indicating a location of antenna reference points (ARPs) of the base station for a first set of TRPs configured for receiving uplink (UL) sounding reference signals (SRSs) different from a location of antenna reference points (ARPs) of the base station for a second set of TRPs configured for transmitting downlink (DL) position reference signals (PRSs). The method also comprises performing a measurement of a UL reference signal received by the first set of TRPs. And the method further comprises transmitting the measurement to the different device.

Abstract: Aspects of sensor activation or deactivation for positioning a mobile device in a wireless communication network are disclosed. These aspects include, during a positioning session between the mobile device and a location server, determining with the location server that a first trigger condition or a second trigger condition has been met regarding reporting, by the mobile device to the location server, of sensor data from one or more sensors of the mobile device, where: the first trigger condition may comprise a trigger condition for activating the reporting, and the second trigger condition may comprise a trigger condition for deactivating the reporting. Aspects further include sending, from the location server to the mobile device, a message may comprise either: instructions to activate the reporting responsive to determining the first trigger condition has been met, or instructions to deactivate the reporting responsive to determining the second trigger condition has been met.

In an aspect, a network entity receives, from at least one network node, a measurement report including one or more radio frequency fingerprint (RFFP) measurements, wherein the one or more RFFP measurements include at least one RFFP measurement of at least one sidelink channel between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE, determines one or more locations of a target UE based on the one or more RFFP measurements and a machine learning module, wherein the machine learning module is trained based on previously collected RFFP measurements of one or more downlink channels, RFFP measurements of one or more uplink channels, RFFP measurements of one or more sidelink channels, locations of one or more sidelink anchor UEs, locations of one or more base stations, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a control message scheduling a burst of downlink messages. The control message may indicate first and second pluralities of transmission configuration indicators associated with first and second downlink shared channels, respectively. The UE may monitor for a first and second downlink messages in the first downlink shared channel and the second downlink shared channel, using first and second transmission configuration indicators, respectively. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may receive a control message scheduling a burst of uplink messages. The single control message may indicate to apply a first precoding matrix for transmission of the uplink messages. The UE may precode, using a second precoding matrix, an uplink message to generate a precoded first uplink message. The UE may transmit the precoded uplink message in a first uplink shared channel.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of parameters associated with a temporary bandwidth part (BWP) switch from a first BWP to a second BWP. The parameters may include a time duration for the temporary BWP switching procedure, a network antenna configuration for the second BWP, transmission parameters for communications scheduled in the second BWP, or a combination thereof. The UE may switch from the first BWP to the second BWP in accordance with the temporary BWP switching procedure and communicate with a network entity using the indicated parameters. For example, the UE may receive one or more downlink messages or transmit one or more uplink messages in accordance with the indicated parameters. Thereafter, the UE may switch from the second BWP to a third BWP in accordance with the temporary BWP switching procedure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a synchronization signal block (SSB) timing for receiving SSBs in accordance with periodic SSB transmission occasions. The UE may transmit a scheduling request (SR) requesting an uplink grant for an uplink transmission. The UE may start a timer associated with monitoring for the uplink grant from a network entity based on transmitting the SR, where starting the timer may be delayed with respect to the SR transmission. For example, the UE may start the timer after the SR is transmitted and at a first time that satisfies a first threshold duration prior to a first SSB transmission occasion of the periodic SSB transmission occasions. In some cases, the UE may start the timer based on the SR being transmitted at a time that satisfies a second threshold duration after an SSB transmission occasion.

Some wireless communications systems may support frequency hopping across subbands within a configured bandwidth part (BWP). A first network node may transmit a first control message to a second network node to indicate a set of one or more frequency hopping patterns for switching between two or more subbands within the BWP configured for the second network node. The first network node may, in some aspects, transmit a second control message that is indicative of a designated frequency hopping pattern from among the set of one or more frequency hopping patterns indicated via the first control message. The first and second network nodes may communication via a first subband and a second subband of the two or more subbands in accordance with the default or designated frequency hopping pattern.
