    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method includes establishing a first component carrier as a primary cell for the user equipment (UE) and a second component carrier as a secondary cell for the UE, receiving primary cell configuration information for the second component carrier while the second component carrier is the secondary cell for the UE, receiving a control message triggering a switch of the primary cell from the first component carrier to the second component carrier, and establishing the second component carrier as the primary cell for the UE based on the control message and in accordance with the primary cell configuration information associated with the second component carrier.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a paging early indication (PEI) indicating whether at least one UE in a UE group or a UE sub-group including the UE is to be paged in a paging occasion. In some aspects, a sequence on which the PEI is based is a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH)-based sequence. In some aspects, the PEI is a sequence-based PEI and is received based at least in part on a sequence configuration configured on the UE. In some aspects, the PEI is a sequence-based PEI and is received based at least in part on a distributed resource block allocation associated with the sequence. The UE may selectively process a paging PDCCH associated with the paging occasion based at least in part on the PEI. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first system information message including an indication of a resource configuration for a control resource set (CORESET) from a base station. The CORESET may include a common search space for a downlink control information (DCI) message that schedules a second system information message. The UE may identify a set of parameters from multiple sets of parameters for the CORESET based on the indication received in the first system information message and the UE being a first type of UE. The set of parameters may be different from a second set of parameters for the CORESET associated with a second type of UE different from the first type of UE. The UE may receive, in the CORESET according to the identified set of parameters, the DCI message scheduling the second system information message.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support inter-slot bundling and frequency hopping. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving a message indicating inter-slot bundling for uplink channel inter-bandwidth part (BWP) frequency hopping repetitions. The method also includes receiving bundling information and redundancy value (RV) information for an uplink channel transmission and corresponding uplink channel transmission repetitions. The method includes transmitting the uplink channel transmission with inter-slot bundling and frequency hopping and based on the bundling information and the RV information. The method further include transmitting an uplink channel transmission repetition of the uplink channel transmission with inter-slot bundling and frequency hopping and based on the bundling information and the RV information.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may implement a power-efficient discovery procedure to establish a relay. In some cases, the UE may monitor a resource pool for a relay beacon from a relay device and measure a received power of the relay beacon. If the received power satisfies a threshold, the UE may monitor for a relay announcement from the relay device and establish a sidelink connection with the relay device based on the relay announcement. The relay beacon may support a two-stage discovery procedure, where the UE determines a relay device is available before processing a relay announcement to conserve power. Additional techniques for proximity-based discovery are described herein.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to resource partitioning for sidelink are provided. A first user equipment (UE) transmits, to a second UE, a time-division duplexing (TDD) configuration indicating a first set of resources time-multiplexed with a second set of resources in a sidelink resource pool, wherein the first set of resources is associated with a first link, and wherein the second set of resources is associated with a second link different from the first link. The first UE receives from the second UE over the first link, a first communication signal in a resource of the first set of resources. The first UE transmits, to the second UE over the second link, a second communication signal using a resource of the second set of resources.
