摘要: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for performing random access procedures based on two-step random access channel procedures and four-step random access channel procedures are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a User Equipment (UE) includes determining that a fallback timer associated with a two-step random access procedure is configured for the UE. The example method also includes generating a random access message based at least on the determining. The random access message may be one of a first-type random access message associated with a four-step random access procedure and including a preamble or a second-type random access message associated with the two-step random access procedure and including the preamble and a payload. Further, the example method includes performing a random access attempt by transmitting, to a base station, the random access message.

A communication device may monitor a wakeup signal monitoring occasion in an inactive duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle. The communication device may transmit, in a first active duration of the DRX cycle, a channel state information (CSI) report on one or more resources based on monitoring the wakeup signal monitoring occasion. In some examples, the communication device may transmit an indication that the communication device requests reporting of the CSI report in the first active duration of the DRX cycle. The communication device may, in some examples, receive, in a second active duration of the DRX cycle, control information for the UE based on the CSI report.

For example, the described techniques provide for reception of system information via a wake up radio of a user equipment (UE). The network may indicate a configuration for receiving system information via the wake up radio (e.g., a second radio of the UE), where the wake up radio receiver uses less power than the main radio of the UE (e.g., the first radio of the UE). The network entity may transmit a signal(s) for reception via the wake up radio that include system information that would be included in a master information block (MIB), a system information block (SIB), and/or a synchronization signal block (SSB), for example to reduce latency associated with waking up the main radio from a sleep mode or in order to increase bandwidth and/or provide additional system information or more frequent system information to the UE.

An energy harvesting wireless device may accumulate energy during an energy harvesting state for use in subsequent operation. In some cases, the energy harvesting wireless device may detect a trigger, such as a change in an energy status of the energy harvesting wireless device or explicit control signaling from a network, for transmitting a power headroom report (PHR), channel state information (CSI), or both. The energy harvesting wireless device may transmit the message including one or more of the PHR or the CSI and indicating that energy information (e.g., an energy report, an energy request, or both) is multiplexed with the PHR, the CSI, or both. In some cases, the message may include control information such as a medium access control (MAC) control element (MAC-CE).

A user equipment (UE) may receive first control signaling indicating a first set of communication occasions for periodic transmission or periodic reception in accordance with a first periodicity and may receive second control signaling indicating a second set of communication occasions that differs in timing from the first set of communication occasions. The UE may shift a first occasion of the first set of communication occasions to align the first occasion of the first set of communication occasions within a threshold time period from a first occasion of the second set of communication occasions. The UE may then communicate on the first occasion of the second set of communication occasions and on the first occasion of the first set of communication occasions.

摘要: Some wireless communications systems may support logical channel prioritization (LCP) adaptation. A user equipment (UE) may receive signaling scheduling multiple data flows associated with a set of channels in particular logical channels, where each data flow of the multiple data flows is associated with a set of one or more parameters. The UE may calculate a deadline metric (DM) associated with a transmission time of each data flow based on the sets of one or more channel prioritization parameters and may adapt the set of one or more parameters associated one or more data flows of the multiple data flows based at least in part on the DM. The UE may transmit a first data flow of the multiple data flows based at least in part on a prioritization of the first data flow over a second data flow, the prioritization based at least in part on the adapting.

摘要: UEs may want to switch to the RRC idle state or to the RRC inactive state sooner than the expiration of the timer or without having to wait for the network to release the RRC connection. Allowing the UE to increase the rate at which it transitions to RRC idle state or RRC inactive state may allow the UE to reduce power consumption, as well as reduce signaling resources. The apparatus determines a preference between a transition to an RRC inactive state or to an RRC idle state when an RRC connection is released. The apparatus sends, to a base station, an RRC state preference indication of the preference for transitioning upon release of the RRC connection from the RRC connected state to one of the RRC inactive state or to the RRC idle state.

DRX configurations may provide that different DRX cycles have non-uniform cycle durations within the DRX time period. Such non-uniform cycle durations may provide DRX ON-durations that are aligned with a periodicity of downlink traffic to the UE in which the downlink traffic may be unaligned with timing boundaries used for wireless communications between the UE and a base station, such as slot boundaries or symbol boundaries.
