Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE configured to receive a plurality of beams through a plurality of different receive beam directions, each of the beams including broadcast information on a PBCH. The apparatus may be further configured to determine, for each of a subset of the received beams, a log likelihood ratio (LLR) for coded bits of the broadcast information. The apparatus may be further configured to decode the broadcast information associated with each of the subset of the received beams, and determine a refined receive beam direction based on the determined LLRs and based on whether the broadcast information associated with each of the subset of the received beams fails to decode or is successfully decoded.

Abstract: The present disclosure presents a method and apparatus for identifying an access point (AP) for selection by an access terminal (AT). For example, the method may include receiving a probe request by one or more APs from an AT, wherein the probe request is broadcasted by the AT to the one or more APs, generating load information and Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values of the probe request at the one or more APs, identifying an AP of the one or more APs for selection by the AT, wherein the AP for selection by the AT is identified by the one or more APs based at least on the load information and RSSI values generated at the one or more APs, and transmitting information of an AP identified by the one or more APs to the AT. As such, an improved mechanism for selecting an access point may be achieved.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for adjusting transmission power in wireless networks are provided. One aspect of the disclosure provides a method of wireless communication over a wireless communication medium. The method includes determining a level of interference for a data transmission from a transmitting device to an intended receiving device. The method further includes setting a transmission power level for transmitting a message based on the interference level, the message comprising one of a request-to-send (RTS) packet and a clear-to-send (CTS) packet. The method further includes transmitting the message at the set transmission power level.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for control signaling for SIC operation in 2-codeword operating mode. The apparatus transmits, to a network entity, a SIC capability indication comprising an indication that the UE supports a SIC operation for 2-CW allocation and an order of processing a first codeword and a second codeword. The apparatus monitors for an ACK to enable the SIC operation between the UE and the network entity. The apparatus receives downlink communication based on the SIC operation in response to receiving the ACK to enable the SIC operation. Abstract: Waveforms for wireless communication are shaped asymmetrically according to a complex-valued weighted overlap/add (WOLA) filter. A wireless communication device generates a waveform corresponding to a carrier. The device determines whether neighboring carriers are being used for wireless communication. If one neighboring carrier is occupied and the other is unoccupied, the wireless communication device applies the asymmetrical filter to the waveform such that out-of-band signals which may interfere with the occupied carrier are suppressed to a greater extent than out-of-band signals potentially present in or around the unoccupied carrier. The wireless communication device then transmits the asymmetrically shaped waveform to maximize interference reduction and signal quality.
