Abstract: In a method for generating a physical layer (PHY) data unit for transmission via a communication channel, information bits to be included in the PHY data unit are received. A number of padding bits are added to the information bits. The number of padding bits is determined based on respective virtual values of each of one or more encoding parameters. The information bits are parsed to a number of encoders and are encoded, using the number of encoders, to generate coded bits. The coded bits are padded such that padded coded bits correspond to respective true values of each of the one or more encoding parameters. The PHY data unit is generated to include the padded coded bits.

Abstract: A user equipment includes circuitry which selects a random access preamble sequence, and a transmitter which transmits the random access preamble sequence to a base station in a frequency bandwidth of an unlicensed band, and performs at least one of a first operation and a second operation. In the first operation, the circuitry selects a first sequence as the random access preamble sequence, the first sequence having a length longer than a length of a random preamble sequence used for a licensed band, and the transmitter transmits the first sequence in the frequency bandwidth of the unlicensed band. In the second operation, the circuitry selects a second sequence as the random access preamble sequence, the second sequence having a length equal to the length of a random preamble sequence used for the licensed band, and the transmitter transmits the second sequence with repetitions in the frequency bandwidth of the unlicensed band.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for performing uplink transmission to a base station through an unlicensed cell in a wireless communication system, in particular, the invention provides a method including: receiving, from the base station, an uplink grant scheduling the uplink transmission on one or more subframes; and performing the uplink transmission on the one or more subframes using one of a first type channel access or a second type channel access indicated in the uplink grant, wherein a parameter for the first type channel access is determined according to a priority included in the uplink grant, and wherein when the uplink grant indicates the second type channel access, the priority is a priority used in a downlink channel access of the base station.
