Abstract: A method for authenticating a circuit switched (CS) call on a virtual subscriber identity module (VSIM) includes: authenticating the VSIM for a packet switched (PS) call connection using authentication information obtained from a remote server through a software subscriber identity module (soft-SIM) connection to the remote server; initiating a call connection on a CS radio access technology (RAT) between the VSIM and a first communication network; and authenticating the VSIM CS call connection to the first communication network through the VSIM PS connection in response to an authentication request for the call connection on the CS RAT.

In some aspects, a user equipment may establish a communication connection with a serving cell associated with a first discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle configuration, determine, based at least in part on at least one of a first on duration of a first DRX cycle indicated by the first DRX cycle configuration or a type of traffic of one or more communications received during the first DRX cycle, an autonomous measurement gap associated with a neighboring cell, and perform a measurement of the neighboring cell during the autonomous measurement gap. Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for managing a tune away from a first network to a second network in a multi-subscription multi-standby communication device during an ongoing voice communication session on the first network. A device processor determine a timing of voice frames received from the first network. The device processor may perform a tune away to the second network at the beginning of a voice frame on the first network. In various embodiments, the device processor may use may use different tune-away patterns to reduce the impact of performing the tune away on the ongoing voice communication session.
