    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for processing color information are described. The method may include receiving a first set of image data collected at an image sensor based on a first color filter array having a first filter pattern, calculating a color saturation gradient based on the first set of image data, and calculating multiple color gradients based on the color saturation gradient. The multiple color gradients may each be associated with a region of the first set of image data, where each color gradient characterizes a color variation along a different direction of the region. The method may include generating a second set of image data including a color value for the region based on comparing a first direction gradient of the multiple color gradients with a second direction gradient of the multiple color gradients. Color values associated with the regions may be mapped to a second color filter array.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for image processing that supports high dynamic range (HDR) photography. In some aspects, a method of generating a full-resolution HDR photograph with in-sensor zoom includes receiving first and second image data corresponding to first and second exposure captures of a scene. First and second full-resolution image frames may be generated from the first and second image data, which are subsequently processed with HDR fusion to obtain an output image frame with higher dynamic range than either the first or second image data. The first full-resolution image frame may be determined from both the first and second image data by compensating the second image data for differences between the first and second exposures.     Abstract: In general, techniques are described regarding a combined monochrome and chromatic camera sensor. A camera comprising a camera sensor and a processor may be configured to perform the techniques. The camera sensor may include pixel sensors, monochrome filters disposed over a first subset of the pixel sensors, and color filters disposed over a second subset of the pixel sensors. The first subset of the pixel sensors may be configured to capture a monochrome image of a scene. The second subset of the pixel sensors may be configured to capture, concurrently with the capture of the monochrome image, a color image of the scene, where a number of the first subset of the pixel sensors is greater than a number of the second subset of the pixel sensors. The processor may be configured to process the monochrome image and the color image to obtain an enhanced color image of the scene.

In a first aspect, a method of image processing includes receiving a first image frame and a second image frame. The method may also include determining a first demosaiced image frame by applying a first demosaic process to the first image frame and determining a second demosaiced image frame by applying a second demosaic process to the first image frame based on the second image frame. Blending weights may be determined based on the first image frame and the second image frame and a blended image frame may be determined by combining pixel values from corresponding portions of the first demosaiced image frame and the second demosaiced image frame according to the blending weights.     Abstract: An apparatus configured for sensor processing is configured to receive a current frame of raw data from an indirect ToF sensor, wherein the raw data comprises an in-phase component and a quadrature component for each pixel of the current frame. The apparatus may jointly apply a first spatial noise reduction filter to the in-phase components and the quadrature components of the current frame, jointly apply, after the first spatial noise reduction filter, a temporal filter to the in-phase components and the quadrature components of the current frame, and jointly apply, after the temporal filter, a second spatial noise reduction filter to the in-phase components and the quadrature components of the current frame to produce a filtered current frame. The apparatus may then output the filtered current frame and use the filtered current frame to determine depth value for other applications.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for image processing are described. A device may capture image data based on a color filter array (CFA) associated with an image sensor. The image data may include a set of pixels. The device may determine a CFA pattern of the CFA and select a configuration appropriately. The configuration may include an indication of a first set of neighboring pixels for each pixel of the set of pixels to use to determine that a pixel is defective and a second set of neighboring pixels for each pixel of the set of pixels to use to correct the defective pixel. The device may determine that the pixel of the set of pixels is defective using the configuration, and correct the defective pixel using pixel values of the first set of neighboring pixels, or pixel values of the second set of neighboring pixels, or both.

For example, a process can include obtaining a first color image including first one or more pixels from a first image sensor and obtaining a second color image including second one or more pixels from a second sensor, the second color image including infrared (IR) information from a second image sensor. The process can include determining a transformation between colors associated with the first one or more pixels and colors associated with the second one or more pixels based on a comparison associated with the first one or more pixels and the second one or more pixels. The process can include generating a color corrected image at least in part by transforming the second color image including IR information to a color corrected image based on the determined transformation.
