Disclosed is a method for providing at least one rich interactive communication service on an electronic device including receiving, by the electronic device, a notification of at least one communication service from at least one server, identifying, by the electronic device, at least one unique identifier of the received at least one communication service based on the notification, determining, by the electronic device, that the identified unique identifier is authenticated, sending, by the electronic device, a request to at least one communication server based on the identified identifier, in response to determining that the identified unique identifier is authenticated, receiving, by the electronic device, at least one rich media for the received at least one communication service from the at least one communication server, responding to the request, and displaying, by the electronic device, the received at least one communication service with the least one rich media.
Abstract:
Embodiments herein provide a method for sharing information of location of a communication device during a voice call over the non-cellular technology. The method includes acquiring cellular location information directly or indirectly from a cellular network during the voice call. Further, the method includes sending the cellular network parameters in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) header field to a core network. The SIP P-header can be P-Alternate-Access-Network-Info. The cellular network parameters correspond to location related information of the communication device. The proposed method provides the location information of the communication device without relying on GPS information.

Embodiments herein disclose methods for selecting a frequency band in (MHS) for a UE. These methods may include determining, by the UE, one or more parameters, wherein the one or more parameters may include at least one of: signal strength parameters, connectivity conditions of the UE in relation to the client device, and a data consumption capability of the UE, then mapping, by the UE, one or more parameters of the UE to at least one of a cell identity (ID), an Access point ID in case of Wi-Fi sharing (AP ID), and a geolocation of the UE, while connecting with the client device, and selecting, by the UE, the frequency band from a plurality of frequency bands based on at least one of the mapped cell ID or application ID and the geolocation of the UE.

A method for enabling a network selection during change in a location of a user equipment (UE) comprises of performing an emergency camping on a first PLMN during a change in location of the UE from a first network to a second network in a power ON mode, identifying a mobile country code and a mobile network code of the first available network from a system information block (SIB) detected from the first network during the emergency camping, determine whether a registered public land mobile network (RPLMN) of the UE is same as a network area of the first available network by comparing the identified MCC and MNC with information of a PLMN database stored in the UE, and determining at least one PLMN from a plurality of priority PLMNs of the second network from the PLMN database if the RPLMN is different from the network area of the first available network.

A method for enabling a network selection during change in a location of a user equipment (UE) comprises of performing an emergency camping on a first PLMN during a change in location of the UE from a first network to a second network in a power ON mode, identifying a mobile country code and a mobile network code of the first available network from a system information block (SIB) detected from the first network during the emergency camping, determine whether a registered public land mobile network (RPLMN) of the UE is same as a network area of the first available network by comparing the identified MCC and MNC with information of a PLMN database stored in the UE, and determining at least one PLMN from a plurality of priority PLMNs of the second network from the PLMN database if the RPLMN is different from the network area of the first available network.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for selecting a serving cell in a communication network for reducing power consumption in a UE, is provided. Network topology information is determined by obtaining cell rank information for the UE, extracting a mobility state of the UE, and applying a double moving average principle to the cell rank information of the UE. The network topology information is employed to determine a change in network topology. Radio Frequency (RF) scans are optimized based on the network topology.
