Abstract: An electronic device is configured to determine a mode corresponding to a first resolution of an image; output a first raw image data corresponding to a first data read out from the first photo diode; acquire a first image corresponding to the first resolution, based on a result of inputting the first raw image data to a machine learning model; output a second raw image data acquired by performing an image processing operation about a second data which is read out from the set of second photo diodes, based on the determined mode corresponding to a second resolution which is lower than the first resolution; and acquire a second image corresponding to the second resolution by performing a second image signal processing of the second raw image data.

Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises a first image sensor and a second image sensor which is electrically connected to the first image sensor by means of one designated interface. The second image sensor can be configured so as to: receive a first signal, for shifting from a first state to a second state, from the first image sensor; while the first image sensor detects light outside the electronic device by means of a plurality of first pixels, detect the light by means of a plurality of second pixels on the basis of the first signal; receive a second signal, for shifting from the second state to the first state, from the first image sensor; and, while the first image sensor obtains first data corresponding to the light detected by means of the plurality of first pixels, obtain second data corresponding to the light detected by means of the plurality of second pixels on the basis of the second signal.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided and includes an image sensor including a first unit pixel including a first micro-lens and a plurality of first photodiodes facing each other with a first color filter interposed between the plurality of first photodiodes, and a second unit pixel including a second micro-lens and a plurality of second photodiodes facing each other with a second color filter interposed between the plurality of second photodiodes, a camera module including the image sensor, and a processor operatively connected with the image sensor. The first unit pixel includes a first photodiode, a second photodiode, a third photodiode, and a fourth photodiode, which are disposed in a square shape such that a horizontal number of photodiodes is identical to a vertical number of photodiodes. The second unit pixel includes a fifth photodiode, a sixth photodiode, a seventh photodiode, and an eighth photodiode, which are disposed in a square shape such that a horizontal number of photodiodes is identical to a vertical number of photodiodes. The image sensor identifies an operation setting and an external environmental condition of the camera module and, upon identifying that the operation setting is a preview mode and the external environmental condition is a high luminous environment, identifies a first area signal corresponding to a signal of the first photodiode and the second photodiode, which are concatenated with each other and included in the first unit pixel, and identifies a second area signal that corresponds to a signal of the fifth photodiode, included in the second unit pixel, corresponding to a location of the first photodiode and the sixth photodiode, included in the second unit pixel, corresponding to a location of the second photodiode, and forms first auto focus (AF) information based on the first area signal and the second area signal.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided and includes an image sensor including a plurality of unit pixels including a first unit pixel and a second unit pixel, the first unit pixel including a first micro-lens, a first color filter disposed under the first micro-lens, and a first photodiode-array disposed under the first color filter and including a plurality of photodiodes arranged in a same number of columns and rows as each other, and the second unit pixel including a second micro-lens, a second color filter disposed under the second micro-lens and having a different color from that of the first color filter, and a second photodiode-array disposed under the second color filter and including a plurality of photodiodes arranged in a same number of columns and rows as each other; and a processor operatively coupled with the image sensor, wherein the processor is configured to identify a mode corresponding to an auto-focus function; if the mode is identified as a first mode, perform the auto-focus function based at least in part on comparing a first combined signal generated by combining signals obtained from a first column of the first photodiode-array with a second combined signal generated by combining signals obtained from a second column of the first photodiode-array; if the mode is identified as a second mode different from the first mode, perform the auto-focus function based at least in part on comparing the first combined signal with the second combined signal and comparing a third combined signal generated by combining signals obtained from a first row of the first photodiode-array with a fourth combined signal generated by combining signals obtained from a second row of the first photodiode-array; and generate an image signal based at least in part on signals obtained from the first unit pixel and the second unit pixel while the auto-focus function is performed according to a one of the first mode and the second mode.

Abstract: An electronic device may comprise a camera, a sensor circuit, a memory, and a processor configured to obtain a plurality of first images including a region of interest (ROI) based on a first frame rate using the camera, detect a movement of the electronic device using the sensor circuit, identify a threshold related to a movement of the ROI based on the movement of the electronic device, wherein the threshold related to a movement of the ROI is identified as a first threshold, and the threshold related to the movement of the ROI is identified as a second threshold larger than the first threshold, obtain a plurality of second images based on a second frame rate larger than the first frame rate in response to an object moving at the first threshold or the second threshold in the ROI, and provide a video related to the object.

Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic device including an image sensor including a lens, a pixel array configured to convert light collected through the lens into an electric signal and to output the electric signal, a readout circuit configured to convert electric signals sequentially received for each row of the pixel array into pixel data and to output the pixel data, a memory, and a controller configured to control the pixel array, the readout circuit and the memory, and a processor electrically connected to the image sensor. The controller is configured to generate a frame by integrating the pixel data sequentially received from the readout circuit, generate a profile regarding flickering of the collected light using the generated frame and another frame generated prior to the generated frame, and store the generated profile in the memory, obtain a profile set including profiles corresponding to a plurality of frames from the memory, and transfer the generated frame and the obtained profile set to the processor.
