摘要: An image capturing apparatus includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, a first selection unit, and a second selection unit. Each of the photoelectric conversion elements includes an avalanche diode and a counter. The photoelectric conversion elements have a first photoelectric conversion element and a second photoelectric conversion element. The first selection unit controls the first photoelectric conversion element. The second selection unit controls the second photoelectric conversion element. The first and second selection units are controlled by a first control line and a second control line. In a first mode, the second selection unit controls the second photoelectric conversion element to be brought into a state where no signal is read from the second photoelectric conversion element. In a second mode, the second selection unit controls the second photoelectric conversion element to be brought into a state where a signal is read from the second photoelectric conversion element.

摘要: An object is to reduce a circuit scale in a solid-state imaging element that detects an address event. The solid-state imaging element is provided with a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, a signal supply unit, and a detection unit. In this solid-state imaging element, each of the plurality of photoelectric conversion elements photoelectrically converts incident light to generate a first electric signal. Furthermore, in the solid-state imaging element, the detection unit detects whether or not a change amount of the first electric signal of each of the plurality of photoelectric conversion elements exceeds a predetermined threshold and outputs a detection signal indicating a result of the detection result.

摘要: In one implementation, a camera includes an image sensor including a plurality of sensor elements at a respective plurality of first image sensor locations. The camera includes a controller to receive, from the image sensor, a plurality of sensor values indicative of a characteristic of light impinging on the plurality of sensor elements and generate, based on the plurality of sensor values, an image file including a plurality of pixels having a respective plurality of pixel values, wherein the plurality of pixels are associated with a respective plurality of pixel locations that represent a respective plurality of second image sensor locations. The plurality of second image sensor locations are within a circle and the image file does not include a pixel having a pixel location representing an image sensor location outside the circle and within a square in which the circle is inscribed.

摘要: The present technology relates to an image pickup element, a control method, and an image pickup device which realize easier and more diversified data output. In one aspect of the present technology, a plurality of signal lines for transmitting a pixel signal read from a pixel is allocated to each column, and different reading modes of the pixel signals are respectively allocated to the signal lines of each column. Regarding each column of the pixel array connected to the pixel corresponding to the mode, the pixel signal is read from the pixel connected to the signal line corresponding to the reading mode of the pixel signal in the mode, and the read pixel signal is transmitted via the signal line. The present technology is applied to, for example, an image pickup element and an image pickup device.

摘要: A system for power efficient image acquisition is configurable to capture, using an image sensor, a plurality of partial image frames including at least a first partial image frame and a second partial image frame. The first partial image frame is captured at a first timepoint using a first subset of image sensing pixels of the plurality of image sensing pixels of the image sensor. The second partial image frame is captured at a second timepoint using a second subset of image sensing pixels of the plurality of image sensing pixels of the image sensor. The second subset of image sensing pixels includes different image sensing pixels than the first subset of image sensing pixels, and the second timepoint is temporally subsequent to the first timepoint. The system is configurable to generate a composite image frame based on the plurality of partial image frames.

摘要: An imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes: an imaging unit having a pixel region in which a plurality of pixels is arranged; a readout controller that controls readout of pixel signals from pixels included in the pixel region; a first unit-of-readout setting unit that sets a unit of readout as a part of the pixel region, for which the readout controller performs readout of the pixel signal; an image output unit that outputs a first image based on the pixel signal read out from the unit of readout to a subsequent stage; a second unit-of-readout controller that controls the unit of readout in which the readout controller performs readout of the pixel signal; and a recognition unit that learns training data for each of the units of readout, performs a recognition process on the pixel signal for each of the units of readout, and outputs a recognition result.
