    Abstract: A method of an electronic device, includes: controlling a portion of one radio frequency (RF) circuit to apply, to a first antenna during a first period, one RF signal having one first transmission power; identifying a second antenna for transmitting an RF signal, based on a first accumulated specific absorption rate (SAR) during the first period; identifying a second period during which transmission is possible with second threshold transmission power corresponding to the second antenna; identifying, based on a third period, a non-transmission period of the first antenna configured based on an SAR residual amount; and controlling a portion of the one RF circuit to apply, to the second antenna during a shorter period between the second period and the non-transmission period, one second RF signal having one second transmission power.

    Abstract: A 5th generation (5G) and/or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE) may be provided. An electronic device, in a wireless communication system, may include: a communication circuit; and at least one processor operatively connected to the communication circuit, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: receive downlink control information (DCI) from a base station; when the DCI does not include information indicating a transmitted precoding matrix indicator (TPMI), and, when a combination of one or more variables indicates a first polarization in a pre-configured table, transmit an uplink signal to the base station by using the first polarization; and, when the combination of the one or more variables indicates a second polarization in the pre-configured table, transmit the uplink signal to the base station by using the second polarization, wherein the one or more variables include at least one of an antenna module, an operating band, or a channel which is used for transmitting the uplink signal.
