Abstract: An electronic device provided. The electronic device comprises at least one communication circuit configured to perform communication with at least one external device, at least one processor operatively connected with the at least one communication circuit, and a memory operatively connected with the at least one processor, wherein the memory stores instructions to, when executed, enable the at least one processor to control the at least one communication circuit to establish a first communication connection with a first wearable device, control the at least one communication circuit to receive a signal for establishing a second communication connection from a second wearable device, the signal including information indicating whether a user wears the second wearable device, identify whether the user wears the second wearable device based on the information, and based on identifying that the user wears the second wearable device, control the at least one communication circuit to release the first communication connection and establish the second communication connection with the second wearable device. Other various embodiments are possible as well.

Abstract: Electronic devices are disclosed herein. Each device includes a display, communication circuitry and a processor. For each device, the respective processor executes registering a geographic locale indicator for the electronic device via a universally unique identified (UUID), equipment identity register (EIR) or manufacturer information. For a first device, a setup mode is executed, including transmitting the UUID, EIR, or manufacturer information to a second device, which may then determine is communication is possible with the first device based on the geographic locale indicator. The first device may receive a response indicative of whether the locales between the devices match. Based on the same, the first and/or second device may also display an indication as to whether communication is possible with the second device.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for supporting a wireless connection between an electronic device and an external device are provided. An electronic device includes a microphone; a wireless communication circuit; a display; a memory configured to store instructions; and a processor operatively connected to the microphone, the wireless communication circuit, the display, and the memory, wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions to: detect a trigger for a wireless connection to an external device; based on the detection of the trigger, search for the external device by using the wireless communication circuit; control the display to display a guide related to proximity between the electronic device and the external device; based on detecting that the electronic device and the external device are within a designated range from each other, acquire an external signal through the microphone by performing a designated operation with the external device; perform authentication for the wireless connection to the external device, based on the acquired external signal; and based on a result of the authentication, configure the wireless connection to the external device via the wireless communication circuit.
