Disclosed is an electronic device including: a housing having a sound emission hole formed in at least one side thereof; a speaker module which is at least partially accommodated in the housing; and a sound reflection surface formed inside the housing and obliquely facing the speaker module. A sound emitted from the speaker module can be reflected by the sound reflection surface to the sound emission hole. The side acoustic emission type speaker device and the electronic device including the same can be variously implemented.

In a user interface method, system and device in a multitasking environment, it is possible for a user to view all of a plurality of simultaneously executed applications by assigning different display areas to the plurality of applications. In the method, system and device, priorities of applications already being executed and of additional applications for which execution is requested are determined, and a display area size is determined and assigned to each application according to its priority. The system comprises a set-top box for performing the latter functions and a user terminal for transmitting a user request, while the device comprises a control unit for performing the latter functions.

A signal processing apparatus and a method are disclosed, in which the signal processing apparatus may convert an analog signal to a digital signal and store the digital signal. The signal processing apparatus may convert analog signals, transmitted by multiple analog channels, to digital signals using analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), hold the digital signals for a predetermined holding time, sequentially read the held digital signals for each digital channel, and store the sequentially read digital signals.

An electronic device for beamforming and a method thereof in a wireless communication system are provided. The electronic device includes a plurality of antennas. The electronic device also includes a plurality of transmitter and receiver switches connected to the antennas and configured to select a plurality of transmission paths and a plurality of reception paths. The electronic device further includes a plurality of first Phase Shifters (P/Ss) configured to shift a phase of Radio Frequency (RF) signals received via the antennas and the transmitter and receiver switches. The electronic device includes a combiner configured to combine the phase-shifted RF signals to one RF signal. The electronic device also includes a quadrature signal generator configured to generate a quadrature signal. The electronic device further includes a down-mixer configured to convert the quadrature signal and the combined RF signal to a first baseband signal and configured to output the first baseband signal to a modem. The electronic device includes a controller configured to control the transmitter and receiver switches, the first P/Ss, and a plurality of second P/Ss to determine a transmission or reception mode of the transmitter and receiver switches, and the phase of the RF signals transmitted and received.
