Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for automatic wireless connection to a digital device in a portable terminal. A phone number and an Electronic Serial Number (ESN) of the portable terminal are obtained. A Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is set to an Ad-hoc mode. A Service Set Identifier (SSID) of the WLAN is automatically generated using the phone number and the ESN of the portable terminal. A security key of the WLAN is automatically generated using the phone number and the ESN of the portable terminal. An Internet Protocol (IP) address for the WLAN is automatically generated using the phone number and the ESN of the portable terminal. The digital device is wirelessly connected to using the IP address for the WLAN.

An example operation method for an electronic device having a plurality of antennas including a first antenna and a second antenna is disclosed. According to one embodiment, the operation method for an electronic device can comprise the steps of: communicating with a first external electronic device through the first antenna and the second antenna based on a first communication scheme during a first period; and communicating with the first external electronic device through the first antenna based on the first communication scheme, and with a second external electronic device through the second antenna based on a second communication scheme, during a second period.

The method includes acquiring a media contents sharing list which includes media contents retained by the electronic device and media contents retained by at least one other electronic device communicating with the electronic device, and transmitting the first media contents to the at least one other electronic device based on playback of first media contents retained by the electronic device within the media contents sharing list, and receiving the second media contents from the at least one other electronic device and outputting the received second media contents based on playback of second media contents retained by the at least one other electronic device within the media contents sharing list.
