Abstract:
A graphene switching device includes a first electrode and an insulating layer in first and second regions of the semiconductor substrate, respectively, a plurality of metal particles on a surface of the semiconductor substrate between the first and second regions, a graphene layer on the plurality of metal particles and extending on the insulating layer, a second electrode on the graphene layer in the second region and configured to face the insulating layer, a gate insulating layer configured to cover the graphene layer, and a gate electrode on the gate insulating layer. The semiconductor substrate forms an energy barrier between the graphene layer and the first electrode.
Abstract:
The touch sensing apparatus includes a driving unit and a touch sensing unit, a scan region selecting unit, and a control unit. The driving unit and the touch sensing unit arranged at a touch panel are electrically connected to driving electrodes and sensing electrodes, respectively. The scan region selecting unit controls the driving unit and determines a narrowed scan region including a touched location by dividing a touch region of the touch panel into a plurality of scan regions, scanning each of the scan regions, and selecting a scan region including the touched location at least for once. The control unit controls the scan region selecting unit and the driving unit and determines the narrowed scan region including the touched location and sense the touched location by inputting signals in a time-division manner to a plurality of scan lines included in the narrowed scan region.
Abstract:
A photonic crystal structure includes a nano structure layer including a plurality of nano particles of various sizes, and a photonic crystal layer on the nano structure layer. The plurality of nano particles are spaced apart from each other. The photonic crystal layer has a non-planar surface, and is configured to reflect light of a particular wavelength.

The touch sensor includes a first sensing electrode configured to sense a touch; a first output line configured to transmit an electrical signal; and a first diode device including a first control terminal connected to the first sensing electrode, a first anode terminal connected to a voltage application unit, and a first cathode terminal connected to the first output line.
Abstract:
An electrowetting display device includes an electrowetting pixel cell and a driving circuit. The electrowetting pixel cell including a polar liquid and a non-polar liquid disposed between a common electrode and a pixel electrode, the pixel electrode configured to receive a fixed voltage and the common electrode configured to receive a variable voltage that varies according to an image signal. The driving circuit configured to control an operation of the electrowetting pixel cell by, providing an image signal to the electrowetting pixel cell at a display interval where the electrowetting pixel cell displays an image, and providing a reset voltage to the electrowetting pixel cell at a reset interval. An absolute value of a difference between the voltage applied to the pixel electrode and the reset voltage is greater than that of a difference between the voltage applied to the pixel electrode and the voltage applied to the common electrode.
Abstract:
An electrowetting display apparatus includes an electrowetting pixel configured to display an image. The electrowetting pixel includes a polar liquid and a nonpolar liquid arranged between a common electrode and a pixel electrode; and a driving circuit configured to control operations of the electrowetting pixel. The driving circuit includes a memory circuit configured to store an image to be displayed by the electrowetting pixel. The driving circuit is further configured to periodically provide a reset signal to the electrowetting pixel while the electrowetting pixel is displaying the image and provide an image stored in the memory circuit to the electrowetting pixel after the electrowetting pixel cell resets.
