Abstract: A cable backplane system includes cable backplanes each including a tray configured to be coupled to a chassis and a plurality of cable connector assemblies mounted to the tray. The tray has a plate extending between a front and a rear with mounting locations receiving corresponding cable connector assemblies. The trays are oriented parallel to each other with front openings between the fronts of the plates and rear openings between the rears of the plates. Each cable connector assembly has a housing holding contacts terminated to corresponding cables. Each cable connector assembly has a holder mounted to the corresponding mounting location of the plate. The holder is mounted to the plate and removable from the plate through the rear opening at the rear of the plate.

Abstract: A cable connector includes a twin-axial cable having a first conductor and a second conductor within a core of the cable. The cable connector includes first and second signal contacts including cable terminals terminated to the conductors and substrate terminals generally perpendicular to the cable terminals and terminated to a substrate. The cable connector includes a contact holder having a body encasing portions of the first and second signal contacts. The contact holder has a front and a rear, and a top and a bottom. The cable terminals are arranged proximate to the rear for termination to the cable. The cable extends from the rear of the contact holder. The substrate terminals are exposed at the bottom for termination to the substrate.

Abstract: A dual connector assembly includes first and second electrical connectors. The first electrical connector has a first housing holding a first contact. The first housing has a mating end mated with a first mating connector and a mounting end mounted to a circuit board. The first housing has a first mounting block including a first mounting surface. The second electrical connector has a second housing holding a second contact. The second housing has a mating end mated with a second mating connector and a mounting end coupled to the mounting end of the first housing. The second housing has a second mounting block facing the first mounting block such that the second mounting surface engages the first mounting surface to locate the second housing relative to the circuit board. The mounting end of the second housing is held spaced apart from the circuit board by the first electrical connector.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly for a communication system includes a housing and a wafer assembly including a PCB terminated contact wafer and a cable terminated contact wafer arranged in a wafer stack. The cable terminated contact wafer includes a second contact array having second signal contacts and a second contact holder having a mating interface and holding terminating ends of the second signal contacts at the mating interface for electrically connection to a cable connector of a cable assembly.

Abstract: A cable assembly includes multiple electrical cables and a filtering module. The electrical cables are arranged in a first cable section and a second cable section. Each electrical cable has a pair of signal conductors. The filtering module includes a substrate and multiple passive filtering devices mounted on the substrate. The filtering module is disposed between the first cable section and the second cable section along a length of the cable assembly and is mechanically connected to ends of the first and second cable sections. The passive filtering devices are electrically connected to the signal conductors of the electrical cables. Abstract: An electrical bridge device includes a support bracket and a flex bridge subassembly. The support bracket includes a frame that extends axially between top and bottom ends of the support bracket. The flex bridge subassembly includes upper and lower carriers held in the frame at least proximate to the top and bottom ends, respectively. The flex bridge subassembly further includes an electrically conductive flex circuit strip coupled to and extending between the upper and lower carriers. The flex circuit strip electrically connects to a first connector on a host circuit board and a second connector on a mating circuit board to provide an electrical circuit path between the host circuit board and the mating circuit board. The upper carrier within the frame is floatable relative to the support bracket to allow the flex circuit strip to align with the second connector.

Abstract: A power connector includes a housing having a mating slot at a front having terminal channels holding power terminals between the slot and the corresponding side of the housing. Each power terminal includes a plate extending from the slot through a rear of the housing to an exterior of the housing for termination to a corresponding power element. The power terminal has a contact array of contacts discrete from and coupled to the plate. Each contact has a plate interface electrically coupled to the plate and a bus bar interface configured to be electrically coupled to a corresponding rail of the bus bar. Abstract: A panel mount connector assembly includes a panel mount bracket having a cavity with a front opening. The assembly includes a connector movably received in the cavity holding contacts at a mating end and cables extending from a cable end. The assembly includes a biasing mechanism received in the cavity engaging the connector and forward biasing the connector in the cavity. The biasing mechanism has a biasing force exceeding a mating force with the mating connector such that the connector remains forward biased in the cavity during mating with the mating connector. The biasing mechanism allows the connector to move rearward when the biasing force is exceeded.

Abstract: An electrical power distribution system includes a first bus bar and a clamp mounted to the first bus bar. The clamp includes a fixed base and a movable plate that define a track therebetween along a broad face of the first bus bar. The track receives a second bus bar therein such that the broad face of the first bus bar engages a corresponding broad face of the second bus bar. The clamp includes a lever connected to both the movable plate and the first bus bar. Pivoting movement of the lever in a locking direction forces linear movement of the movable plate relative to the first bus bar towards the fixed base such that respective inner sides of the movable plate and the fixed base sandwich the second bus bar therebetween to secure the second bus bar in engagement with the first bus bar.
