    摘要： There is provided a recording medium exchanging-type recording and reproducing apparatus in which its small-sized forming can be realized, either reproducing or recording operation can be carried out within a short period of time, and it is advantageous in view of light weight forming or cost. The first and second magazines for storing the tape cartridge in such a way that the tape cartridge can be inserted into or taken out are spaced apart in a lateral direction in the casing so as to cause their longitudinal directions to become in parallel to each other, and there is provided a transferring space extending along a longitudinal direction of these first and second magazines. The moving mechanism holds the tape cartridge and moves up and down in the transferring space. The delivering mechanism delivers the tape cartridge between the first and second magazines and the moving mechanism. The moving mechanism performs installing of the tape cartridge against the recording and reproducing mechanism arranged at a location near the lower part of the transferring space.

    摘要： A recording/reproduction apparatus and a recording/reproduction method are adapted to information on the recording area of a recording medium without intervention of the operator if the recording medium is short of capacity necessary for recording the information to be recorded. If information not recorded on a magnetic tape is supplied to DTR 9 and central control section 2 determines that the magnetic tape does not have a recording capacity sufficient for recording the information, the central control section 2 causes the DTR 9 to record said information not recorded on the magnetic tape in the storage area of the magnetic tape storing one or more than one pieces of information with the oldest time and date of recording.

Identifier codes may also be stored in the memory to save memory capacity. With only one input operation, all control signals in the same category, such as channel codes for a television, may be learned and stored in the memory in correspondence with the respective keys. Provision is made to determine whether the input control signal is in the form of a toggle code, thereby executing the learn function for control signals that include the toggle code.

    摘要： In an optical disc player or other apparatus in which a light beam is directed through an objective lens to be focused thereby at a record medium surface for optically reading information recorded in a track on such surface; the objective lens is mounted eccentrically in a circular end wall of a body member having a cylindrical side wall depending from the periphery of the end wall, a bearing sleeve extends axially from the center of the end wall and is slidable on a shaft extending upwardly from a base member so that the body member is both angularly displaceable about the shaft axis and axially displaceable relative to the base member to correct for tracking and focusing errors, respectively, inner and outer yokes extend upwardly from the base member at the inside and outside, respectively, of the cylindrical side wall and have respective radially aligned gaps, a magnet is associated with the yokes for generating magnetic flux through the side wall of the body member between the inner and outer yokes, and tracking and focusing coils are provided on the cylindrical side wall of the body member, with the tracking coils being shaped to have first and second portions extending parallel to the shaft axis and through which current will flow in opposed directions in response to the supplying of a tracking error signal to the tracking coils, with each first tracking coil portion being located between the inner and outer yokes to interact with the magnetic flux and thereby effect angular or rotary displacement of the body member in response to tracking error signals and each second tracking coil portion being located proximate to gaps of said inner and outer yokes so as to be substantially free of the magnetic flux, and with the path of a light beam through the objective lens being arranged to pass through a gap of the inner yoke and between the bearing sleeve and the cylindrical side wall of the body member.

    摘要： The present invention is intended to provide a text-to-speech synthesis apparatus, including a storage for storing phoneme data of a plurality of speakers; a selector for selecting one of the plurality of speakers in accordance with an operation performed by a user; a searcher for searching the storage for phoneme data of the speaker selected by the selector; a text-to-speech synthesis processor for linking the phoneme data of the speaker retrieved by the searcher to convert input data into a synthetic speech; and a fee-charge controller for controlling a fee-charge operation for the user in accordance with the phoneme data selected by the selector. Consequently, the user can perform text-to-speech synthesis on the desired input data such as drama data by use of the obtained phoneme data.
