摘要: A novel and time saving method for assessing bactericidal activities of antibiotics on agar plates is described. Minimal inhibiting concentrations (MIC) are determined by the agar dilution method. An antibiotic inactivating enzyme solution is sprayed onto the plates to inactivate the antibiotic. After further incubation, the minimal concentration at which no visible growth occurred on the plates is determined and is defined as minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC).
