    摘要: A method for transforming an image expressed in terms of a first image encoding to a second image encoding, includes converting a set of original scene exposure-factor values into corresponding first and second image encoding values. A transform is then derived between the first image encoding values and the second image encoding values. The transform is then applied to an image encoded in said first image encoding. Examples of different encoding that can be transformed include Rec. 709, sRGB and other known image encoding standards. A system for performing such transformations as well as an electronic device that is capable of performing such transformations are also disclosed.

    摘要: A video signal includes a plurality of frames of image data. A single frame of image data or multiple frames of image data, one or more reduced resolution frames, or a portion or portions of one or more frames or reduced resolution frames can be analyzed to determine initial statistics. One or more correction operations are then performed on the initial statistics to generate initial correction values. The one or more correction operations include a balance correction operation, a flare correction operation, and a tonal correction operation. After the initial correction values are determined, a temporal filter is applied to the initial correction values to generate final correction values. Optimized image data is then generated by applying the final correction values to image data in one or more frames.

    摘要: A method for generating a target display characteristic for a non-CRT display device includes establishing a sequence of luminance-factor values corresponding to original-scene neutrals. The luminance-factor values are converted to corresponding Rec. 709 signal values. The luminance-factor values are then mapped according to a desired system tone reproduction characteristic to corresponding luminous intensity values to be reproduced by the non-CRT television display device. The target display characteristic is generated by relating the corresponding Rec. 709 signal values to corresponding luminous intensity values.

    摘要: An original reference grayscale characteristic for a display panel is created by modifying the sRGB reference grayscale characteristic for the display panel. The changes selectively vary the relative luminances and contrasts of certain regions of the sRGB reference grayscale characteristic. The display device code values for the original reference grayscale characteristic comprise a substantially constant chromaticity corresponding to a particular CIE standard illuminant between D70 and D85 throughout the entire grayscale characteristic. A portion of the display device code values in the original reference grayscale characteristic are changed to provide a taper to a black chromaticity of the display panel in the lower portion of the grayscale characteristic.

    摘要: A silver halide light sensitive photographic print element is disclosed comprising a support bearing on one side thereof: a blue color sensitive record comprising at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion yellow-image forming layer, a red color sensitive record comprising at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion cyan-image forming layer, and a green color sensitive record comprising at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion magenta-image forming layer; wherein the overall contrast (OC) of the green record is greater than 1.7, the mid-scale contrast (MSC) of the green record is less than 2.6, and the upper-scale contrast (USC) of the green record is from 2.85 to 3.15, wherein the parameters OC, MSC and USC are as defined herein. Color print film silver halide photographic elements in accordance with the invention enable the production of outstanding projected images having improved flesh tone and shadow detail reproduction, and sufficiently high black densities.
