摘要: A collision detection system for a vehicle is provided with multiple hollow members which are arranged at a periphery portion of the vehicle and define therein substantially closed spaces, at least one housing defining therein a substantially closed space, multiple transferring members for respectively communicating the spaces in the hollow members with the space in the housing, at least one detection unit which is arranged in the housing to detect a status of air in the housing, and a control unit. The control unit determines whether or not there occurs a collision of the vehicle based on detection signals from the detection unit.

摘要: A collision detecting system is provided to detect a collision of a vehicle based on a pressure variation in a substantially closed space which is arranged at a periphery portion of the vehicle. The collision detecting system has a sensing unit which detects a pressure in the space. The sensing unit is arranged at the vehicle in such a manner that a detection direction of the sensing unit is slanted with respect to the direction of an impact on the vehicle due to the collision. Therefore, the vehicle vibration excited by the impact can be restricted from influencing the detection result of the pressure in the space by the sensing unit, thus improving the detection of the vehicle collision.

摘要: In a side door collision detecting system for a vehicle, an internal pressure sensor detects a door internal pressure of a side door of the vehicle. The internal pressure sensor outputs an internal pressure signal based on the door internal pressure, and the internal pressure sensor is installed in an interior space of the side door. A physical value sensor detects a physical value and outputs a physical value signal based on the physical value. The physical value sensor is installed in the interior space of the side door. A collision determining circuit determines whether the side collision occurs based on the internal pressure signal and the physical value signal.

摘要: In a side door collision detecting system for a vehicle, an internal pressure sensor detects a door internal pressure of a side door of the vehicle. The internal pressure sensor outputs an internal pressure signal based on the door internal pressure, and the internal pressure sensor is installed in an interior space of the side door. 摘要: Right and left side pressure sensors are provided to left and right doors, respectively, of a vehicle to sense a pressure in a door interior space of the corresponding door. An ECU computes a corrective pressure change amount that is obtained by correcting a change amount of a pressure, which is measured with a collided side one of the pressure sensors arranged in a collided one of the left and right doors that is collided with an object, based on a pressure, which is measured with a non-collided side one of the pressure sensors arranged in a non-collided one of the left and right doors that is not collided with the object. The ECU determines occurrence of the collision of the object based on the corrective pressure change amount.

The passenger protection device is actuated, when the determination unit determines that there occurs the collision of the vehicle based on a variation of the pressure and a variation of the temperature.

摘要: A collision detecting system for a vehicle has a pressure detecting member for detecting a pressure in a substantially closed space which is arranged at a periphery portion of the vehicle, and a vibration detecting member for detecting a vibration of the vehicle. The pressure in the space is calculated for a detection of a vehicle collision, based on pressure signals detected by the pressure detecting member and vibration signals detected by the vibration detecting member. Therefore, the influence of the vehicle vibration on the detection of the pressure in the space can be restricted, thus improving the detection of the vehicle collision.

摘要: A pressure sensor includes a case with an air passageway having a first opening leading to an inside of the case and a second opening leading to an outside of the case, pressure sensing means that is placed inside the case and includes a pressure sensing surface for detecting pressure, and a breathable filter that is provided with the air passageway to cover at least one of the first and second openings. The pressure sensing means is fixed to the case through mounting means that allows the pressure sensing means to be spaced from the case to prevent stress that is applied to the pressure sensing means by the case.
