Abstract: A cabinet comprising an outer wall which encapsulates an internal space comprising electronic components, the outer wall having a rupture line forming a release wall portion which by rupturing of the rupture line in response to an increased pressure in the internal space can be released and thereby define an opening forming arc-vent for the internal space. To protect against penetration of objects of a predetermined size into the electronic components, the cabinet further comprises a ventilation-open inner lining arranged in the internal space to cover the opening. If arcing should occur, the increased pressure may rupture the line and the opening will allow venting. In this situation, the inner lining prevents against penetration.

Abstract: A cabinet For electronic components, the cabinet comprising an outer wall, a closure, and an attachment structure, the cuter wall encapsulating an internal space and forming an opening, the closure being attached to the outer wall by the attachment structure, and the attachment structure allowing movement of the closure relative to the outer wall between an open position where the opening is uncovered and a closed position where the opening is covered by the closure. To enable automatic and fast opening of the cabinet in case of over pressure, e.g. caused by arching of electronic components in the cabinet, the cabinet Further comprises a magnet structure comprising at least one magnet arranged to hold the closure in the closed position and to release the closure in response to a pressure in the internal space.

Abstract: A wind turbine with an electric converter module having a first section forming a first enclosure capable of withstanding a pressure from an arc flash inside the first enclosure. The first enclosure houses an electric protective device electrically connected between a first electric conductor and the second electric conductor. A second section is arranged adjacent to the second side wall of the first section, and forms a second enclosure housing an electric converter system connected to the second electric conductor and a third electric conductor to allow conversion of electric power from the third electric conductor to electric power to the second electric conductor. A door in the second section serves to allow service personnel to access components of the electric converter system from outside the enclosure.

Abstract: A system for a wind turbine that includes a protection system interfaced to a circuit breaker system and a sensing system. The protection system is configured to determine an operational mode of the wind turbine by monitoring at least two parameters determine a parameter set comprising a plurality of operational parameters based on a determined operational mode, and an associated set of expected values corresponding to the parameter set, determine actual values corresponding to the determined parameter set, identify a fault condition in the event that the determined set of actual values of the operational parameters do not correspond to the determined set of expected values of the operational parameters, and implement a protection action based on the identified fault condition.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for operating a power generating assembly in the event of a fault, wherein the power generating assembly comprises a PMG comprising at least first and second sets of stator windings, wherein each set of stator windings is connected to a power converter via a controllable circuit breaker, the method comprising the steps of detecting a fault associated with the first set of stator windings, and lowering, such as interrupting, the current in the second set of stator windings, and, after a predetermined delay, lowering, such as interrupting, the current in the first set of stator windings. The present invention also relates to a power generating assembly being capable of handling such faults, and a wind turbine generator comprising such a power generating assembly.
