Abstract: A device associated with a home network may receive an access point name (APN) request from a device associated with a visitor network, wherein the APN request is associated with a user device. The device associated with the home network may cause, based on the APN request, a virtual home network to be instantiated that includes a virtual gateway, wherein the virtual home network is physically closer to the user device than the home network. The device associated with the home network may generate an APN that identifies the virtual home network and the virtual gateway. The device associated with the home network may cause the APN to be sent to the device associated with the visitor network to cause a gateway associated with the visitor network to connect to the virtual gateway.

Abstract: A network device, in a first wireless network operated by a first network operator, receives a first location of a user equipment device (UE) and a second location of a Multi-Access Edge Computing data center (MEC) operated by a second network operator. The network devices performs at least one of: 1) determining a closest gateway or user plane function (UPF) to the MEC data center within the first wireless network; or 2) deploying a Virtual Network Function (VNF) in a particular hosting center that is close to the MEC. The network device sets up a connection between at least one of the determined closest gateway or UPF and the MEC, or the deployed VNF and the MEC, to enable the UE to access the MEC via the first wireless network.

Abstract: A device may receive a request to access a network service from a user equipment (UE) roaming on a visiting public mobile network (VPMN). The device may receive UE radio frequency (RF) band information that identifies a UE supported set of RF spectrum bands, and may receive VPMN RF band information that identifies a VPMN supported set of RF spectrum bands. The device may determine whether to permit or deny access to the network service based on the UE RF band information and the VPMN RF band information, and may provide an instruction to permit or deny access to the network service based on the UE RF band information and the VPMN RF band information.

Abstract: A device may identify a first set of radio frequency (RF) spectrum bands supported by a visited public mobile network (VPMN) for a first radio access technology (RAT), and may identify a second set of RF spectrum bands supported by a user device for the first RAT. The device may compare the first set of RF spectrum bands and the second set of RF spectrum bands, and may determine whether the user device and the VPMN support a same RF spectrum band for the first RAT. The user device may be registered to use the first RAT when the user device and the VPMN support the same RF spectrum band for the first RAT, or the user device may be registered to use the second RAT when the user device and the VPMN do not support the same RF spectrum band for the first RAT.
