    Abstract: A system described herein may maintain information associating one or more tokens to one or more network slices associated with a network. The system may receive a request, from an application executing at a User Equipment (“UE”), for communication session information, where the request includes a particular token. The system may identify a particular network slice associated with the particular token based on the information associating the one or more tokens to the one or more network slices. The system may receive communication session information, associated with the particular network slice, from the network, and may provide the communication session information to the application. The application may use the communication session information to communicate with the network via the particular network slice. The application may use such communication session information without providing an application identifier to the network.

    Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an inter-operator mobility service is provided. The service may provide provisioning decisions and configurations that may include core devices that are shared between users of a first entity and users of a second entity, or are dedicated to the users of the second entity to support a network slice and/or access to an application service for end devices associated with the second entity. The service may manage access and use of radio frequencies associated with the first and second entities based on subscription information and location of the end devices associated with first and second entities. The service may further include enabling inter-network handovers associated with end devices associated with end devices associated with the second entity.

    Abstract: Systems described herein provide techniques for establishing and modifying user plane communications sessions between Long-Term Evolution (“LTE”) User Equipment (“UE”) devices, connected to LTE base stations, and a Fifth Generation (“5G”) core network. An LTE-5G Interworking function (“LTE-5G IWF”) may logically generate a virtual 5G UE and/or 5G base station, map a LTE UE to the virtual 5G UE, and cause the establishment of a Protocol Data Unit (“PDU”) Session, at the 5G core network, with the virtual 5G UE. The LTE-5G IWF may provide PDU Session information to the LTE UE and base station to facilitate the establishment of user plane communications (e.g., via a tunnel) between the LTE UE and the 5G core network. The LTE-5G IWF may also receive modification parameters, such as Quality of Service (“QoS”) parameters, and provide instructions to the 5G core and/or to the LTE UE to handle traffic according to such parameters.

    Abstract: A Device Roaming State Server (DRSS) may: receive a request, from a mobile device attached to a first network, to provide the mobile device with a Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number (MSISDN). The mobile device has an external identifier (ID) but does not have an MSISDN. The DRSS is in a second network. The DRSS may then authenticate the mobile device at the second network. If the mobile device is successfully authenticated, the DRSS may select a temporary MSISDN from a pool of available MSISDNs; associate the temporary MSISDN with the external ID in a database; and provide the mobile device with the MSISDN.

    Abstract: A mobility management node in a wireless network receives message data from an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The mobility management node obtains a non-Internet Protocol (IP) Access Point Name (APN) associated with the message data, and extracts Class of Service (CoS) and/or Quality of Service (QoS) indicators embedded in the non-IP APN. The mobility management node queues and prioritizes the message data, among other message data, based on the extracted CoS and QoS indicators. The mobility management node dequeues and forwards the message data, among the other message data, from the mobility management node to a Service Capability Exposure Function (SCEF) node based on the extracted CoS and QoS indicators.
