To this end, control information corresponding to the EACH transmission may be provided to an access terminal on a paging channel (PCH). For example, a base station may broadcast a general access parameters message (GAPM) to enable the access terminal to configure EACH transmissions. Providing the one or more devices LIPA using one or more LAN addresses may include assigning each of the client devices an IP address and implementing a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) relay on an associated router, or other LIPA functions.
