Abstract: A data capture system for object dimensioning includes: a projector to project a structured light pattern onto a capture volume to illuminate an object in the capture volume; a depth sensor; a set of image sensors; and a processor configured to: responsive to detection of the object, control the depth sensor to obtain a depth scan of the object; based on the depth scan, determine an attribute of the object; select projection parameters based on the attribute; control the projector to illuminate the object according to the projection parameters; and control the set of image sensors to capture respective images of the object.

Abstract: Systems and methods for filtering improbable locations are disclosed herein. An example system includes: a tag configured to transmit data while within one of a plurality of zones and a locationing engine. The locationing engine may be configured to: receive the data, analyze at least one property of the data to determine a current zone of the plurality of zones containing the tag with an associated confidence value, and analyze prior data transmitted from the tag to determine whether the current zone is different from a prior zone determined from the prior data. The locationing engine may also compare (i) a time differential between receipt of the prior data and receipt of the data and (ii) the associated confidence value with a cost value corresponding to moving from the prior zone to the current zone, and update a location of the tag based on the comparison.

The label modification unit may operate the laser printhead according to the optical path configuration to write the content to the area or erase the content from the area.

Abstract: A server includes: a memory storing calibration data; and a processor connected with the memory, the processor configured to: obtain a point cloud depicting a capture volume containing a transporter having a body and a holder carrying an object to be dimensioned; obtain a set of positions associated with the transporter; based on the set of positions and the calibration data: generate side cutting planes corresponding to sides of the body of the transporter; generate a front cutting plane corresponding to a forward surface of a mast of the holder; and discard points between the side cutting planes and the front cutting plane to obtain a first portion of the point cloud; based on the calibration data, select a second portion of the point cloud from the first portion, excluding a base of the holder; and dimension the object based on the second portion of the point cloud.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a position of at least one element are disclosed herein. The system receives, by a device having a first sensor, angle of arrival data from at least one element having a second sensor. The system receives position information of the device within a room and determines a difference in height between the device and the at least one element based on a first pressure measurement of the first sensor and a second pressure measurement of the second sensor. The system generates a vector between the device and the at least one element based on the angle of arrival data and determines a plane indicative of a height of the at least one element based on the determined difference in height. The system determines a position of the at least one element based on an intersection of the vector and the plane.
