摘要: A safety information arrangement is for installation in a first motor vehicle. The arrangement includes a user interface, a receiver, and an electronic processor. The receiver receives a wireless first signal from outside of the first motor vehicle. The wireless first signal is indicative of a second motor vehicle having an elevated likelihood of colliding with the first motor vehicle. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the user interface and to the receiver. The electronic processor receives a second signal from the receiver. The second signal is dependent upon the wireless first signal. The electronic processor controls the user interface dependent upon the second signal to thereby present an alert to a driver of the first motor vehicle. The alert warns the driver that the second motor vehicle has the elevated likelihood of colliding with the first motor vehicle.

摘要: A head up display arrangement presents a virtual image to a human driver of a motor vehicle. The arrangement includes a picture generation unit emitting a light field such that the light field follows an optical path, is reflected by a windshield of the motor vehicle, and is visible to the human driver as the virtual image. A glare trap lens is positioned in the optical path between the picture generation unit and the windshield and passes the light field. The glare trap lens improves an optical characteristic of the virtual image as seen by the human driver. The glare trap lens includes an outer surface having an elongate rib thereon. The rib is positioned to block stray light that has been reflected off of the outer surface of the glare trap lens.

The first ECU is to send the first key to the second ECU, and the first ECU is to encrypt the first CAN ID portion of a secure CAN message using the first key. The second ECU is to decrypt the first CAN ID portion of the secure CAN message using the first key from the message table.

An example system includes a video camera positioned to capture video related to a vehicle structure that blocks a view of the driver. The system also includes a see-through display disposed inside the vehicle between the vehicle structure and the driver. The system also includes a processor configured to identify a closest object within a field of view of the video camera, determine a distance to the closest object, and process the captured video based, at least in part, on the distance to determine a portion of the captured video to be displayed on the see-through display. The processor renders the portion of the captured video to create a see-through effect relative to the vehicle structure.

摘要: A compact audio woofer arrangement for a motor vehicle includes an enclosure installed in the motor vehicle. The enclosure contains a woofer or subwoofer emitting a sound. The enclosure includes a primary and secondary through-hole. The primary through-hole allows the woofer to interface with the interior of the vehicle and provides sound directly from the enclosure into a passenger compartment at the primary location. A extended vent acting as an acoustic transmission line is coupled to the second through-hole. The vent transmits sound from the enclosure to a secondary location remote from the primary location, such that the sound is emitted into the adjacent passenger compartment. The primary and secondary acoustic outputs differ by physical location in the motor vehicle, and also by frequency response of the emitted sound, thereby emulating a quasi-stereo environment.

The magnet source is in a rest position relative to a Variable Hall effect sensor device when the rocker actuator mechanism is in a rest position. A variable output signal from the sensor device is substantially at a minimum value when the magnet source is in the rest position relative to the sensor device. The magnet source is in a maximum position relative to the sensor device when the rocker actuator mechanism is in a maximum position. The variable output signal is substantially at a maximum value when the magnet source is in the maximum position relative to the sensor device.

The arrangement includes a light source emitting light with a non-uniform brightness over a field of view of the human driver. A diffuser includes a surface through which the light emitted by the light source passes. The surface has a texture that varies with position on the surface. The texture scatters the light such that the brightness of the light over a field of view of the human driver is more uniform after passing through the diffuser at a given average brightness than it would be with a diffuser configured to scatter light independent of position after passing through the diffuser.

A liquid crystal display (LCD) backlight device may include a processor and a color filter of a pixel including at least one of a red filter, a green filter, or a blue filter. The LCD backlight device may also include a diode to emit light through the color filter in response to being driven by the processor. The diode may generate a voltage in response to light passing through the color filter and arriving on the diode, where an image value may be calculated as a function of the voltage generated and a color filter value of the color filter.
