摘要： A retractable syringe, plunger and releasable needle assembly including a retractable needle, a needle seal, a retaining member and an ejector member. The retaining member has a mating surface for mounting to a complementary mating surface of an interior wall of a syringe barrel. The plunger comprises a plunger outer, a plunger rod frangibly connected to a controlling member, a spring and a unitary plunger seal capable of engaging the retractable needle, wherein the plunger rod, plunger outer and the controlling member co-operate to releasably maintain the spring in an initially compressed state. After delivery of fluid contents of the syringe, the plunger forces the ejector member to release the retractable needle from the retaining member. Decompression of the spring at the end of depression of the plunger facilitates retraction of the retractable needle when engaged with the unitary plunger seal.

According to one or more embodiments, the syringe assembly comprises a barrel, plunger rod and detachable thumb press wherein the plunger rod further comprises flexible locking petals that lock the plunger rod within the barrel, a ramp disposed adjacent to the locking element, and one or more frangible connection or break point at the proximal end of the plunger rod disposed either inside the thumb press or immediately adjacent to the thumb press to separate the thumb press from the main body of the plunger rod when a user applies sufficient proximal force to the plunger rod after it has been locked within the barrel.

The syringe needle is fixed in the conical head component, and the conical head component consists of a threaded conical head, a sealing ring, a transition part and a hollow wedge. The protecting jacket is put around the syringe needle and is movably connected to the needle base of the syringe needle; the conical head component is fixed in the inner cavity at the front end of the outer casing; the piston is installed on the core bar; the main part of the core bar is sheathed inside the outer casing; and the front end of the core bar is inserted into the conical head component and is able to make the syringe needle return inside the outer casing.

摘要： A retractable needle safety syringe (11) with plunger locking mechanism is disclosed. Locking means (36) are provided in the body (12) of the syringe to engage the plunger (13) once it is retracted after use, so that the syringe is rendered incapable of being used further. The locking means is preferably provided by a twist lock feature. A region of weakness (24) is also provided in the plunger so that after the needle is retracted into the body of the syringe, and the plunger engaged with the locking means, the plunger is broken off so it cannot be depressed again.

摘要： Various embodiments of syringe assemblies include a syringe barrel and a substantially conical tip or outlet disposed on the distal end of the barrel. The substantially conical tip includes a locking mechanism that engages an extension of a plunger assembly extending from a distal end of the plunger assembly so as to retain the extension within the substantially conical tip or outlet upon full injection of the contents of the syringe to a patient. According to one embodiment, a plunger head of the plunger assembly is slidably disposed on the extension. According to another embodiment, a separate hub, which holds a needle cannula, is disposed on an outlet at the distal end of the syringe barrel, which contains the locking mechanism. According to a further embodiment, the locking mechanism includes a locking clip disposed within the substantially conical tip of the syringe assembly.

摘要： A disposable safety syringe in one embodiment includes a stepped syringe barrel comprising two opposite mating members on an inner surface proximate a distal end; a plunger comprising a connection member and a breakable section behind the connection member; a first needle assembly comprising a needle and a needle hub secured to the distal end of the syringe barrel; and a hollow second needle assembly shaped to lockingly secure to the first needle assembly in the syringe barrel, the second needle assembly comprising two opposite corresponding mating members on an outer surface, the corresponding mating members being lockingly engaged with the mating members. After dispensing, the plunger may clockwise rotate about the syringe barrel until the mating members and the corresponding mating members are unlocked lengthwise each other. The plunger, the second needle assembly, and the first needle assembly may move rearward to retract the needle within the syringe barrel.

摘要： A syringe assembly having passive disabling structure includes a barrel and a plunger rod assembly. The plunger rod assembly includes a plunger rod and a stopper connected by an indexing locking element. The number of strokes of the syringe plunger before the stopper is locked into the barrel rendering the syringe assembly unusable is determined by the number of detents on the plunger rod and stopper which engage the locking mechanism. Upon completion of the final delivery stroke, any attempt to withdraw the plunger rod from the barrel will cause the locking element to engage the barrel and trap the stopper in the barrel preventing further use of the syringe.
