    摘要: A method of forming a stent includes forming a wave form from a formable material. The wave form includes a plurality of substantially straight portions and a plurality of curved portions, each curved portion connecting adjacent substantially straight portions. The method includes wrapping the wave form around a mandrel at an angle to form a helical coil comprising a plurality of turns, connecting a first curved portion of a first turn to an adjacent second curved portion of a second turn at a position along the wave form to define an end of the stent, and removing excess material from an end of the wave form extending past the first curved portion while smoothing the end of the stent.

    摘要: The present disclosure describes a system and method for forming a stent or stent-graft for use in the vasculature of a human patient. The system comprises a mandrel and a collar configured to slide and rotate in relation to the mandrel. The mandrel includes at least one groove that corresponds to the desired shape of a stent or stent-graft. The stent or stent-graft is formed by sliding and rotating the collar along the surface of the mandrel, which forces a wire to conform to the shape of the groove.

    摘要: A tissue fastener production method of clamping two living tissues together by bringing the two living tissues into close contact includes the following steps: fixing one end of a wire material made of a metal to a shaft body, and winding the wire material around an outer periphery of the shaft body while twisting the wire material round an axis of the wire material, thereby forming a coil on which a predetermined force is exerted in the winding direction; heat treating the wire material to impart superelasticity thereto; and deforming the wire material to which the superelasticity is imparted in a range in which the wire material is elastically deformable, and reversing the winding direction of the coil in a direction reverse to the winding direction of the coil wound in the step of forming the coil so as to obtain an initial tension corresponding to the predetermined force.

Coiling is performed simultaneously with the application of the bending deformation, and the load is removed after the coiling. This spring includes an outside surface region having a compressive residual stress and a compressive stress reduction region in which the compressive residual stress is reduced from the outside surface region toward the center of the material. A stress change portion at which a change from the compressive residual stress to a tensile residual stress occurs exists between the outside surface region and the center of the material. The spring further includes a tensile stress peak portion, tensile stress reduction region, and inside surface region. The inside surface region has the tensile compressive residual stress having an absolute value smaller than that of the outside surface region.
