Abstract: In a tread portion of a pneumatic tire, an average lateral groove width Lc of a center region is obtained by dividing the groove area of lateral grooves in the center region by a circumferential length of the center region, and an average lateral groove width Lsh of a shoulder region is obtained by dividing the groove area of lateral grooves in the shoulder region by a circumferential length of the shoulder region. A relationship between a tire average thickness Gc of the center region and a tire average thickness Gsh in the shoulder region satisfies 1.05≤(Gc/Gsh)≤1.35, a relationship between the average lateral groove width Lc of the center region and the tire average thickness Gc in the center region satisfies 0.07≤(Lc/Gc)≤0.12, and a relationship between the average lateral groove width Lsh of the shoulder region and the tire average thickness Gsh in the shoulder region satisfies 0.17≤(Lsh/Gsh)≤0.26.

Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes first main grooves formed on outer sides, in the lateral direction, of a first land including an equatorial plane and extending in the circumferential direction; second main grooves outside, in the lateral direction, of the first main grooves and extending in the circumferential direction; auxiliary grooves formed on second lands between the first main grooves and the second main grooves, opening to the second main grooves, and terminating in the second lands; and first sipes inclined identically to the auxiliary grooves and crossing the second lands. The auxiliary grooves are formed into a shape bending at a bend point, and include a first portion extending from an opening end to the bend point, and a second portion extending from the bend point to a terminating end. A groove width of the first portion gradually reduces from the opening end to the bend point.

Abstract: A tread portion 2 includes four circumferential grooves 3 and five land portions 4. Each of the five land portions 4 is provided with no groove having a groove width greater than 2.0 mm, and is provided with only sipes 9. The four circumferential grooves 3 include a shoulder circumferential groove 5. The five land portions 4 include a shoulder land portion 11 and a middle land portion 13. The middle land portion 13 is provided with a plurality of middle sipes 30. The shoulder land portion 11 is provided with a plurality of shoulder sipes 20 each extending from the shoulder circumferential groove 5 to a position beyond a tread end. At least one of the shoulder sipes 20 includes an inclined portion 21. A maximum angle of the inclined portion 21 with respect to a tire axial direction is not greater than a maximum angle of the middle sipe 30 with respect to the tire axial direction. A difference between the maximum angle of the inclined portion 21 and the maximum angle of the middle sipe 30 is not greater than 5°.

The second recess includes a second opening disposed at the second groove wall, and a second end portion extending substantially parallel to the second opening at a position farthest from the second opening. The first and second end portions are disposed so as not to oppose each other through the groove.

Abstract: A tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes continuous lands provided in half treads on first and second sides, circumferential main grooves, and sipes having a chamfered configuration. The sipes extend inward in a lateral direction from the circumferential main grooves and are closed in the middle of regions of the continuous lands. An edge shape of each of sipes on the first side includes an extending portion extending inward in the lateral direction constantly in an extension direction and a bent portion that is provided to be joined to an end of the first extending portion and that has the edge shape bent from the extension direction of the first extending portion to a direction close to the circumferential direction. Every portion of the first extending portion and the bent portion of the sipes are provided with a main body portion and a sipe chamfered portion.
