Abstract: A tire with sufficient braking performance on dry and wet roads, reduced rolling resistance and abrasion resistance. Tread 12 has first circumferential direction groove 14 and first fine grooves 18 with wall faces that contact each other when the tread 12 contacts the ground, the grooves 14 and 18 partitioning center ribs 16. Center blocks 24 are partitioned by second circumferential direction grooves 20 outside the grooves 18 and center lug grooves 22 extending from respective groove 18 to respective groove 20. Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes inner land portions, formed between a center main groove and outer main grooves on both sides of the center main groove, which are divided into blocks by sub-grooves. A pair of the sub-grooves positioned on both sides of the center main groove is inclined in the same direction with respect to the tire width direction, disposed such that openings on the center main groove side overlap in the tire circumferential direction, and the circumferential components of the sub-grooves are continuous throughout the tire circumference. A groove width of the sub-grooves changes at a middle portion in the length direction such that the sub-grooves include a narrow width section positioned on the outer main groove side and have a groove width W1 that is relatively small, and a wide section positioned on the center main groove side and having a groove width W2 that is relatively large.

Abstract: A tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes two outer circumferential main grooves and two inner circumferential main grooves. Each of the two inner circumferential main grooves comprises a first groove wall and a second groove wall facing the first groove wall. The first groove walls include first oblique wall elements that extend obliquely outward in a tire width direction and second oblique wall elements that extend obliquely inward in the tire width direction and extend for a shorter length than the first oblique wall elements. The second groove walls include third oblique wall elements that extend obliquely inward in the tire width direction and fourth oblique wall elements that extend obliquely outward in the tire width direction and extend for a shorter length than the third oblique wall elements.

Abstract: Provided is a pneumatic tire with a tread pattern that includes two first circumferential main grooves, shoulder land portions, shoulder lug grooves, shoulder sipes, and narrow circumferential grooves, the shoulder lug grooves being closed off midway in the region of the shoulder land portions without connecting with the first circumferential main grooves and including first regions and second regions that are disposed in the regions closer to the first circumferential main grooves than the first regions and have a groove depth that is less than that of the first regions. The shoulder sipes are connected with the second regions and extend toward the first circumferential main grooves. Abstract: A heavy duty pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion provided with a circumferentially continuously extending longitudinal groove disposed on each side of the tire equator, and oblique grooves extending axially inwardly from the longitudinal groove at an inclination angle of 20 to 40 degrees with respect to the tire axial direction. The longitudinal groove is provided with a sound insulation wall disposed therein so as to rise from the groove bottom. The sound insulation wall extends continuously in the circumferential direction in a zigzag manner so as to have axially inner points and axially outer points at turning points of the zigzag. The distance between the sound insulation wall and the axially inner edge of the longitudinal groove is varied periodically in the tire circumferential direction so that the distance becomes minimal at the junctions of the longitudinal groove with the axially inner oblique grooves.

The auxiliary grooves are formed into a shape bending at a bend point, and include a first portion extending from an opening end to the bend point, and a second portion extending from the bend point to a terminating end. A groove width of the first portion gradually reduces from the opening end to the bend point.

Abstract: A pneumatic tire comprises in a tread surface thereof a land portion that comprises a plurality of blocks. Each of the blocks comprises in a contact patch thereof a plurality of narrow shallow grooves and a plurality of recessed portions disposed separated from the narrow shallow grooves. The narrow shallow grooves have a groove width of from 0.2 mm to 0.7 mm and a groove depth of from 0.2 mm to 0.7 mm. The recessed portions have the same depth as the narrow shallow grooves.
