A line of weakness (15) is formed at the underside of a corner of the tray to allow the foam material (19) of the tray to be broken to form a tab which facilitates peeling of the lidding film (21) from the remainder of the tray perimeter. The tray 3 includes a liner film 17 bonded thereto and severed at the line of weakness 15.

摘要： Disclosed is an improved food package that includes a food bowl having an open top and a closed bottom and in which a food (e.g., hummus) and a topping are packaged. A sealing ledge extends inwardly from the food bowl downwardly from and below the open top thereof. A peel-off film that is sealed against the sealing ledge extends laterally across the food bowl above and in close proximity to the food and the topping. The peel-off film closes the food bowl and prevents the food and its topping from spilling out. By virtue of locating the peel-off film below the open top of the food bowl, a relatively low volume airspace is established between the film and the food to prevent a premature mixing of the food and the topping when the food package undergoes a high pressure processing (HPP) treatment.

摘要： A package for the storage of food or other suitable products includes a tray and, optionally, a lidding film. The tray is thermoformed, molded, or otherwise shaped to provide a recessed portion and flange, the recessed portion defining a product-receiving cavity. The flange includes a frame portion surrounding the cavity and a margin portion disposed alongside the frame portion and, in some embodiments, extending substantially a full width of the tray. The optional lidding film attaches to both the frame and margin portions and typically seals the cavity. The margin portion and a side wall of the recessed portion may include locking features to allow the margin portion to snap close against the side wall. The package may then be made to stand on end with the margin portion acting as a base. The lidding film may include a peelable/sealable film to allow repeated access to the product while sealing the cavity between uses.

摘要： A novel razor package suitable for protectively storing a razor with a cartridge and adjoining handle is disclosed. The package includes at least one container with upper and lower portions. The upper portion includes a cartridge-receiving recess and the lower portion includes a handle-receiving recess. A cover sheet covers the container's top perimeter and is sealed to the container such that a user can peel it back to open and access the razor. With two or more containers in the razor package the cover sheets may have a sheet separability line area (e.g., perforations) between them to allow for easy peeling. Additionally, these containers may be secured together via a container separability line area, allowing a user to also pull off one container from the package at a time. The container and sheet separability line areas may be aligned and may or may not be formed at the same time.
