摘要: A battery lid includes an aluminum lid member, a first terminal member made of aluminum and a second terminal member made of copper, each extending to both a front side and a back side, and resin members fixing the terminal members to the lid member. Of the second terminal member, an opposite surface that faces a wall surface between the front side and the back side of the lid member via the resin member is formed with asperities, in which the resin member bites to form a minute anchor structure. The resin member is made of a base resin mixed with fillers and prepared so that its linear expansion coefficient in a range of 80% to 120% of a linear expansion coefficient of the aluminum.

摘要: A method for producing a power storage device includes an insert-molding step of making a resin member by insert-molding with respect to a terminal member inserted in an insertion hole of a lid. In this insert-molding step, the insertion hole of the lid is placed in front of a gate, and a molten resin is injected through the gate to flow in an opposite gate-side space in a cavity through the insertion hole, allowing the molten resin to spread over the entire cavity, to form the resin member.

摘要: A tubular structure for a rectangular battery can for an electric vehicle, which is thin and has very high dimensional accuracy in order to contain as much electrolyte as possible within a limited size, and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. In particular, extrusion of a material to a predetermined thickness is performed, and drawing of the extruded material to a thickness desired by a final product is performed. Accordingly, desired thickness uniformity of the final product is maintained.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for electrical contacting of cells of a battery. The method includes: using a laser beam having a first beam energy to remove contamination in a region, provided for electrical contacting, of an electrically conductive outer surface of a first cell of the battery; using a laser beam having a second beam energy higher than the first, to generate at least one marking in the outer surface of the first cell, the marking having a predefined spatial relationship to the region provided for electrical contacting; and electrically contacting the first cell using a connecting apparatus, the marking being used by the connecting apparatus to localize that region of the first cell which is provided for electrical contacting in order to connect said region by way of an electrically conductive connecting element to a region, provided for electrical contacting, of a second cell of the battery.

The assembly may include a seal retainer having an opening in which the electrical conductor is disposed and configured to retain the potting material seal within the sealing wall.

摘要: Battery parts having retaining and sealing features and associated assemblies and methods are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a battery part includes a base portion that is configured to be embedded in battery container material of a corresponding battery container. The battery part and base portion include several torque resisting features and gripping features that resist torsional or twist loads that are applied to the battery part after it has been joined to the battery container. For example, the base portion can include several internal and external torque resisting features and gripping features that are configured to resist twisting or loosening of the battery part with reference to the battery container material, as well as prevent or inhibit fluid leakage from the battery container.
