    摘要: A digital level control circuit, such as an Automatic Gain Control, includes a plurality of digitally selectable signal levels with transitions between levels gradually varied to avoid signal output level discontinuities. An up/down counter may be used to incrementally stepwise transition an output signal between the digitally selectable output levels. Stepwise application of a control signal to the appropriate switching elements (e.g., FETs) forming an attenuator circuit may be implemented to moderate a switching time of the switching elements to provide a more gradual transition between element operating states. A deglitch circuit may be employed to latch the switching elements to achieve the desired state at the end of a desired switching transition period.

Each separate user may enable individualized noise canceling headphones for one or more noise environments. When the user is wearing the headphones in a quiet environment, a user may employ a computer to initiate determination of a plant model of each ear cup specific to the user. When the user is wearing the headphones in a target noise environment, the user may utilize the computer to initiate determination of operating parameters of a controller for each ear cup of the headphones. The computer may provide the operating parameters of each controller to the headphones. And the operation of each controller may be updated based on the determined operating parameters. The updated headphones may be utilized by the user to provide active noise cancellation.

    摘要: A system, method, and computer program product for improving digital images and video by reducing or eliminating artifacts created by sensor binning, i.e. channel displacement of downscaled image pixels. Red and blue pixels are shifted to corresponding ideal pixel locations using for example bi-linear interpolation for each color. Green pixels are shifted to corresponding ideal pixel locations using one-dimensional cubic interpolation along a diagonal direction in which the green pixels are aligned. Pixel values are replaced by weighted pixel value averages of groups of pixels, preferably four, and the weights used vary inversely with shifted distances. Cubic interpolation results may be separately weighted pairwise among pixels with a weighting parameter favoring pixels near the ideal pixel location. The embodiments noticeably improve image and video quality, particularly by treatment of jagged edges of diagonal image features without compromising image sharpness or creating false colors along edges.

    摘要: Methods for estimating illumination parameters under flickering lighting conditions are disclosed. Illumination parameters, such as phase and contrast, of a intensity-varying light source may be estimated by capturing a sequence of video images, either prior to or after a desired still image to be processed. The relative average light intensities of the adjacently-captured images are calculated and used to estimate the illumination parameters applicable to the desired still image. The estimated illumination parameters may be used to calculate the point spread function of a still image for image de-blurring processing. The estimated illumination parameters may also be used to synchronize the exposure timing of a still image to the time when there is the most light, as well as for use in motion estimation during view/video modes.

In one embodiment, method includes setting an exposure period of an image sensor of the digital camera and capturing image data based on the exposure period. The method may further include checking the image data to determine whether the number of saturated pixels exceeds a saturation threshold and checking the image data to determine whether the number of cutoff pixels exceeds a cutoff threshold. The method may further include generating a high dynamic range image based on image data captured by the digital camera, wherein the high dynamic range image is generated based on a minimum number of images to capture a full dynamic range of the scene.
