摘要: The relative luminance value of each subpixel in the panel unit area is determined by calculation of the relative luminance value and the weight of the plurality of frame pixels. The plurality of frame pixels constitute a plurality of frame pixel lines extending in the first direction and a plurality of frame pixel lines extending in the second direction, respectively. A first frame pixel line extending in the first direction that includes the closest frame pixel and a second frame pixel line extending in the second direction that includes the closest frame pixel are composed of frame pixels assigned positive weights. Each of the frame pixel lines except for the first frame pixel line and the second frame pixel line includes a frame pixel assigned a negative weight.

摘要: Provided is a method of converting relative luminance data of a picture frame into relative luminance data of a display panel. The picture frame includes a region composed of a plurality of frame unit regions arranged in a matrix. The frame unit region is composed of six pixels. The display area of the display panel includes a region composed of a plurality of panel unit areas arranged in a matrix. The panel unit area is composed of twelve sub-pixels arranged in a delta-nabla position. The relative luminance value of each pixel is assigned to one or two subpixels of each of the three color subpixels. The relative luminance value of each subpixel is determined from the relative luminance value of the corresponding two adjacent pixels.

摘要: A driving potential is given to the first electrodes and the third electrodes, respectively. A common potential is given to the second electrodes and the fourth electrodes, respectively. Each of the third electrodes is located at a layer closer to the liquid crystal as compared to the second electrodes, and intersects with one of the second electrodes through an insulating layer. Each of the fourth electrodes is located at a layer closer to the liquid crystal as compared to the first electrodes, and intersects with one of the first electrodes through an insulating layer. A width of the third electrodes is the same as each other at respective intersections of the the third electrodes and the the second electrodes. A width of the fourth electrodes is the same as each other at respective intersections of the the fourth electrodes and the the first electrodes.

摘要: A display device includes a substrate, regions on the substrate each including a transparent first and a second regions, one or more light-emitting elements disposed in the second region, and a circular polarizing pattern disposed in front of the pixel regions. Each of the one or more light-emitting elements includes a reflective electrode and a transparent electrode layered one above the other, and a light-emitting film provided between the transparent electrode and the reflective electrode. The light-emitting film is configured to emit light in response to electric current supplied between the reflective electrode and the transparent electrode. The circular polarizing pattern covers the entire reflective electrode when seen from the front of the display device. At least a part of the first region is located within a gap in the circular polarizing pattern when seen from the front of the display device.

摘要: A polarization analysis apparatus includes: a light source that radiates light to a sample; a liquid crystal panel that outputs polarized light in a specific direction from light radiated from an excited state sample; an image sensor that measures a luminance of polarized light; and a controller that controls the liquid crystal panel and the image sensor. The controller calculates a reference voltage of a rectangular wave; calculates a corrected reference voltage by correcting the reference voltage in the rectangular wave where an absolute value of the reference voltage changes in response to a phase change; applies the reference voltage and the corrected reference voltage to the liquid crystal panel; operates the image sensor in accordance with a light exposure time to measure luminance of polarized light; and calculates a degree of polarization of the sample based on results of the measurement.
