摘要: A semiconductor device is described. The semiconductor device includes: a Si substrate having a first main surface; a plurality of gate trenches extending from the first main surface into the Si substrate; a semiconductor mesa between adjacent gate trenches; a first interlayer dielectric on the first main surface; a plurality of first metal contacts extending through the first interlayer dielectric and contacting gate electrodes disposed in the gate trenches; a plurality of second metal contacts extending through the first interlayer dielectric and contacting the semiconductor mesas; and an air gap or a dielectric material having a lower dielectric constant than the first interlayer dielectric between adjacent first and second metal contacts. Methods of producing the semiconductor device are also described.

摘要: An apparatus includes a controller that controls operation of an amplifier. The amplifier receives a sample voltage produced by a resistive path; the sample voltage from the resistive path is indicative of a magnitude of current through a motor winding. The controller selects a gain setting to apply to the amplifier based on one or more conditions. The selected gain setting is selected amongst multiple possible gain settings. Subsequent to selection, via application of the selected gain setting to the amplifier, and based on an output of the amplifier, the controller monitors a magnitude of the current through the motor winding. According to one configuration, the amplifier adjusts the magnitude of the selected gain setting depending on one or more parameters such as the magnitude of the current through the motor winding, a selected operational range of controlling current through the motor winding, etc.

摘要: This disclosure includes novel ways of implementing a power supply that powers a load. More specifically, a power supply includes a controller. The controller controls operation of a first power converter stage and a second power converter stage to convert an input voltage into an output voltage. For example, the first power converter stage is operative to receive an input voltage and convert the input voltage into an intermediate voltage. The second power converter stage such as a transformer-less switched-capacitor converter is coupled to the first power converter stage. The second power converter stage receives the intermediate voltage and converts the intermediate voltage into an output voltage to power a load.

摘要: A power supply includes a reference voltage generator, a power supply phase, and an adjustor. During operation, the reference voltage generator produces a reference voltage. The power supply phase produces an output voltage to power a load as a function of an output voltage feedback signal derived from the output voltage and the reference voltage. The adjustor adjusts a magnitude of the reference voltage to maintain regulation of the output voltage with respect to a desired voltage setpoint.

摘要: An isolated switched-mode power converter converts power from an input source into power for an output load. Power switches within a primary-side power stage control the amount of power input to the power converter and, ultimately, provided to the output load. A digital controller on the secondary side of the power converter generates signals to control the power switches. This controller also senses a rectified voltage on the secondary side of the power converter and uses this sensed voltage to detect fault conditions of the primary side. For example, the sensed rectified voltage is used to detect undervoltage or overvoltage conditions of the input power source of the power converter, or faulty power switches within the primary-side power stage.
