Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus for stabilizing the concentration of a previously generated aerosol, which includes: an aerosol inlet channel; an aerosol pressure adjustment unit accelerating the aerosol; a buffer connected to the aerosol pressure adjustment unit via an aerosol transport channel and having a much larger sectional area than the aerosol inlet channel and the aerosol transport channel, wherein the aerosol accelerated by the aerosol pressure adjustment unit reaches the buffer via the aerosol transport channel and is mixed in the buffer; a feedback channel connecting between the buffer and the preceding channel to the buffer to feedback a portion of the aerosol present in the buffer to the preceding channel to the buffer; and an aerosol outlet channel releasing the aerosol uniformly mixed in the buffer. Provided is also a method for stabilizing the concentration of an aerosol according to the same principle as in the apparatus.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for supporting Peer to Peer (P2P) communication in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. A P2P zone within a frame used for the P2P communication includes at least one channel, each channel includes a broadcasting zone and a contention zone, and a P2P-mode transmit Mobile Station (MS) transmits a reference signal through a broadcasting zone of a channel to which itself belongs. The method MS includes determining an interference sum for each channel within the P2P zone, comparing the determined interference sums with each other, selecting a channel having the least interference sum, and transmitting information regarding the selected channel to a Base Station (BS).
Abstract:
In a communication system, information regarding a first modulation scheme applied to a frequency domain in a serving base station is received from the serving base station. A signal of the frequency domain is received. A second modulation scheme is set by estimating a modulation scheme applied to the frequency domain in at least one neighbor base station from the received signal. Channel state information is generated by estimating the received signal. An operation for selecting whether to use interference cancellation is performed using the channel state information, the first modulation scheme information and the second modulation scheme.

The generation of per stream Channel Quality Information (CQI) in a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) wireless communication system is provided. An apparatus includes a receiver for receiving signals from a transmitting end via a plurality of antennas; an estimator for estimating channels per antenna in relation with the transmitting end using the received signals and constituting a channel matrix; and a generator for deriving per stream effective noise when a lattice reduction scheme is adopted and generating per stream CQI using the per stream effective noise. Thus, feedback information for a Closed Loop (CL) MIMO system can be produced by generating the per stream CQI using the effective noise obtained through the lattice reduction.

An apparatus and method for supporting distortionless vector perturbation in a Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) system are provided. The apparatus includes a transmitter for supporting distortionless vector perturbation in a MIMO system. The transmitter includes a label inserter for generating a label and for inserting the label into a user information bit, a scrambler for scrambling the user information bit inserted with the label and for generating N independent candidate sequences, a modulator for modulating the N independent candidate sequences according to a modulation scheme and a vector perturbation unit for adding a limited offset vector so that the modulated symbols are mapped to a constellation point in a feasible region. The apparatus and method provide vector perturbation with improved performance and reduced computational complexity.

Abstract:
In a method of forming a metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitor in a semiconductor device, after forming a capacitor insulation layer on a lower metal layer of the MIM capacitor, an upper electrode is formed by ion implantation into the capacitor insulation layer and silicidation, without a typical reactive ion etching process. Consequently, damage to the capacitor insulation layer can be minimized, and the area of the capacitor need not increase.
Abstract:
A symbol demapping method and apparatus for efficient interference cancellation in a wireless communication system. Decision signal points are generated which include decision signal points based on a modulation scheme and a virtual signal point added to a zero point. A magnitude of a complex value of an input signal is compared with a threshold based on system setting. When the magnitude of the complex value is less than the threshold, the virtual signal point of the zero point is mapped and output as a target decision signal point. When the magnitude of the complex value is greater than or equal to the threshold, one of the decision signal points based on the modulation scheme is mapped and output according to the com0plex value.
