In a color filter substrate and a method for manufacturing the color filter substrate, the color filter substrate includes a base substrate, a first blocking pattern, a second blocking pattern and color filters. The base substrate includes a plurality of pixel areas. The first blocking pattern extends along a direction of the base substrate. The second blocking pattern crosses the first blocking pattern and includes a passage portion through which the base substrate is exposed to connect the pixel areas adjacent to each other along the direction. Color filters are formed in the pixel areas. Accordingly, the uniformity of the color filters and the reliability of the color filter's quality and manufacturing process may be enhanced so that display quality may be enhanced.

The multimedia signal receiving apparatus includes: an interface which receives a multimedia signal containing an encrypted AV signal and packet data, and a decryption key used to decrypt the encrypted audio/video (AV) signal; a packet processor which generates packet data containing information relating to the decryption key; and a controller which controls the packet processor to generate the packet data containing the information relating to the decryption key when the decryption key is set.

An image display apparatus having an automatic adjusting function and a method thereof The image display apparatus includes an analog-to-digital (AD) converter for converting analog image signals received from a host computer into digital image data, a phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit for providing the AD converter with synchronization signals needed for converting the analog image signals into the digital image data, and a scaler for calculating a Horizontal Active Width from the digital image data, comparing the calculated Horizontal Active Width with the default Horizontal Active Width corresponding to the default mode, and transferring compensation data to the PLL circuit to compensate for the difference in the Horizontal Active Width. Accordingly, the image display apparatus is automatically adjusted according to the input image mode, thereby displaying high quality images on a screen.

The invention relates to microorganism producing 5′-xanthylic acid. A 3,4-dehydro-DL-proline resistant Corynebacterium ammoniagenes CJXPK001 strain is provided for producing 5′-xanthylic acid. It is a mutant strain of Corynebacterium ammoniagenes KFCC 10743 having a lower resistance to 3,4-dehydro-DL-proline. The mutant strain is not affected by osmotic pressure caused by accumulated, highly concentrated solute in a culture medium, and it can produce 5′-xanthylic acid at a high yield and concentration rate.

It also to a novel trehalose synthase protein, a trehalose synthase gene, recombinant plasmids carrying said trehalose synthase gene, and transformed microorganism with said recombinant plasmids.
