Abstract:
A method of making a fuser member such as a fuser roller, pressure roller, or fuser belt, comprising of bonding an outermost fluoropolymer resin layer to an inner fluoroelastomer layer by means of a fluoropolymer-containing polyamide-imide primer layer.
Abstract:
This invention provides a fuser belt comprising a substrate and a coating on said substrate, said coating comprises a resin made by curing a composition comprising siloxanes having a ratio of difunctional to trifunctional units of 1:1 to 1:2.7 and at least 90% of total number of functional units in said siloxanes are difunctional and trifunctional units, a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 50,000 grams/mole, and an alkyl to aryl ratio of 1:0.1 to 1:1.2.
Abstract:
A method of fusing an electrostatographic colored toner image on a transparent support to provide a projection viewable color transparency exhibiting excellent color clarity. The support comprises a polymer layer bearing the color toner image. The toner image and the polymer forming the layer on the support have a loss tangent value of at least 1.6. The transparent element is subjected to fusing in three distinct zones; a fusing zone where it is contacted with a textured fusing member, a cooling zone where contact with the fusing member is maintained and the toner image is cooled and a release zone where the toner image is released from the fusing member at a temperature where no toner image or polymer layer offset occurs.
Abstract:
An airway device for human or animal use comprising an airway tube having a distal end and a proximal end, the distal end of which is surrounded by a laryngeal cuff, adapted to fit anatomically over the laryngeal structure of a patient, wherein the device optionally further comprises a buccal cavity stabilizer located on or around the airway tube between the laryngeal cuff and the proximal and of the tube, said buccal cavity stabilizer being adapted to nest with the anterior aspect of the patient's tongue, the size, shape and configuration of the buccal stabilizer being adapted to prevent rotational or side-to-side movement of the airway device in use.
Abstract:
An airway [(10, 310, 410, 510, 610, 710, 810, 1110, 1210, 1310, 1410, 1510, 1610, 710, 1810, 2010, 2110, 2210, 2310, 2410, 2510, 2610, 2710, 2810, 2910, 3010, 3110, 3210, 3310, 3810) device for human or animal use, the device includes an airway tube (12) having a first end (14) and a second end (16), wherein the device further includes a shoulder (26), the shoulder extends laterally from and substantially perpendicular to the airway tube, the shoulder is adapted to contact the faucial pillars of the human or animal patient to prevent over-insertion of the device in use.
Abstract:
A method of forming a variable finish on a receiver by fusing toner to a receiver in an electrophotographic printer, comprising providing a rotatable member, a fusing system disposed with respect to the rotatable member to form a fusing nip, and a glossing system having a glossing belt and disposed with respect to the rotatable member to form a glossing nip, wherein the fusing system and glossing system are adapted to fuse toner to a receiver to produce respective ranges of finish of the fused toner; selecting a finish within one of the respective ranges, and selecting one of the nips, wherein the finish range of the system corresponding to the selected nip includes the selected finish; and rotating the rotatable member to feed the receiver through the selected nip to fuse the toner to the receiver and form the selected finish on the receiver.
Abstract:
A fuser and receiver release system and method are provided for improving the release of receivers in high speed of printing systems. This system controls the release of a receiver in conjunction with a fuser in a printing system, and specifically the efficiency and accuracy of the release system. One embodiment of this method includes a belt fuser that allows the separating of the heat transfer and release functions of the fuser such that fuser roller could be made of hard metal core that can be heated to high temperatures without the fear of delaminating elastomeric coatings which are common in roller fusing.
