摘要: Systems and methods for measurement of end tidal carbon dioxide, including a device having a body and a tubular gas line. The body is adapted to be attached to a patient airway and has a first gas line securing portion which has an aperture through it and is adapted to secure the gas line to the body. The tubular gas line is secured in the aperture. The tubular gas line has a proximal portion extending from a proximal end of the aperture and has a proximal end which is adapted to be connected to an end tidal CO2 monitor. The tubular gas line also has a distal portion extending from a distal end of the aperture and having a distal end which provides an inlet for end tidal CO2 exhaled by a patient.

摘要: A multi-functional oropharyngeal airway device designed to be inserted into the peripheral portion of a patient's oral airway to establish and maintain that airway. The components comprising the invention are a non-compressible, hollow cylinder body with at least three different and commonly used medical connectors incorporated into the proximal end of the body, and a flexible tube incorporated into the distal end of the body. The novelty and the utility of this invention is that these components have not, heretofore, ever been incorporated into a single oral device which is designed to be inserted and affixed into a peripheral position in the patient's mouth.

摘要: A pulmonary secretion clearing airway structure and related airway management system is disclosed that has a double lumen portion which each lumen of the double lumen portion operably secured to an airway management system so that inspiratory fluid (air/oxygen mixtures, with or without added water vapor) is delivered to the distal end of the ventilation catheter through one of the two lumens and expired inspiratory fluid, pulmonary secretions, and pulmonary fluids are removed from the patient through the other lumen. The expiratory fluid pathway preferably includes a secretion collection system for removing the pulmonary secretions and the like from the pathway, thereby improving operation and safety of the system. The airway structure can be a ventilation catheter or a supraglottic airway system such as laryngeal mask and the like.

摘要: The present invention relates to a mask and an inflatable structure thereof. The inflatable structure which is provided in a mask's body comprises: a ventilation seat; a sleeving connection which is sleeved at one end of the ventilation seat and sandwiches the mask's body together with the ventilation seat, with the sleeving connection provided with a socket tube so that the mask's body, the ventilation seat and the socket tube are in air communication; an air-sealed hood which is connected to the sleeving connection and provided around the socket tube. By virtue of the structure in the present invention, the air flow can be effectively imported into the patient to significantly increase the survival rate of the patient.

The connecting member is preferably a L-shaped swiveled connector that is capable of being fixed into one of two positions, a first position where the connector is freely rotatable within the patient interface, and a second position where an interference between the interface and connector prevents the free rotation of the connector within the patient interface, The present invention further relates to a connector that has outlet means, which includes at least one outlet vent and a funnel, which in use directs and passes a substantial portion gases expired from the patient through the outlet vent or vents.
