摘要: A Laryngeal oral airway (LOA) includes a mouthpiece flange defining two separate nostril-like openings in communication with separate elongated airways extending towards the larynx when in use. The nostril-like openings on the mouthpiece are spaced, shaped, and configured to snugly fit nasal prongs a nasal cannula therein, such that the nasal cannula is readily moveable between the patient's nostrils and the artificial nostril openings defined in the mouthpiece of the airway. The cannula is further secured by notches defined in the LOA.

摘要: Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for the cleaning of an endotracheal tube while a patient is being supported by a ventilator connected to the endotracheal tube for the purpose of increasing the available space for airflow or to prevent the build up of materials that may constrict airflow or be a potential nidus for infection. In one embodiment, a mechanically-actuated endotracheal tube cleaning device is configured to removably receive a visualization member to provide cleaning of the endotracheal tube under direct visualization.

摘要: An endotracheal tube assembly comprises an elongate tube having an outer wall defining an outer surface, the tube defining an elongate central lumen and an elongate suction lumen, and an inflatable cuff attached on a distal end portion of the elongate tube. The elongate tube defines a first suction opening having a normal vector parallel to a tangent to an outer circumference of a transverse cross-section of the outer wall of the tube next to said first suction opening, the first suction opening being in fluid communication with the suction lumen.

摘要: A supraglottic tube is provided, which despite certain softness has high compressive strength in the proximal distal direction and an adjustable radius of curvature. The supraglottic tube includes at least three lumens. A guiding lumen is located between a respiration lumen and a esophageal lumen. The lumens are separated from each other by separating walls. A guiding means, which includes a pressure element and a tractive element, is located in the guiding lumen. A tractive force can be applied to the tractive element by way of a feed connector and an adjustment unit, in which the pressure element is supported, whereby the radius of curvature of the supraglottic tube can be adjusted.

摘要: There is disclosed an endotracheal tube which has a minimal cross-sectional profile for easy viewing of anatomical features during intubation. After the tube is placed into the trachea, the tube is adapted to increase the diameter. In this manner the tube diameter may be expanded to allow for decreased Work of Breathing (WOB) for patient, while not having so large a diameter as to cause tracheal discomfort.

摘要: The disclosed Neonatal Laryngeal Mask Airway-0 and 1 (NLMA-0, NLMA-1) device includes an inflatable cuff, an airway tube, a connector, backplate with an aperture. The cuff is insertable through mouth of the patient to an inserted location within patient oropharynx. The cuff of the NLMA surrounds glottis opening and opening in the backplate of the NLMA. The airway tube is a communicating passage between connector and inflatable cuff. The connector is attached to the outer end of the airway tube and inflatable cuff attached to the inner portion of the airway tube.The V shape connector can be attached to the resuscitation bag at one end and to the tracheal catheter at the other. This tracheal catheter passes through connector, airway tube and through the opening in the backplate into the trachea, in order to administer surfactant into the lung.
