    摘要： In a liquid crystal display apparatus having a liquid crystal display panel, an input analog display data is converted to a digital display data, a data portion is selected from the digital display data, and display status information is displayed on the display panel in the form of an overlay display data over the digital display data, so that display adjustment on the display panel is possible. The display adjustment may be automatically performed by use of a minimum value data and a maximum value data, found among the digital display data, for an automatic offset level adjustment and for an automatic gain level adjustment, respectively.

    摘要： A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display panel, a data processing circuit, a signal driver circuit, a scan driver circuit, and a power circuit. The liquid crystal display panel includes a plurality of pixels constituted by at least a plurality of pixel electrodes disposed in a matrix arrangement, a reference electrode opposing the pixel electrodes, and a liquid crystal disposed between the pixel electrodes and the reference electrode. The data processing circuit receives input display data and an input synchronizing signal, converts the input display data and the input synchronizing signal to output display data and an output synchronizing signal which are compatible with the signal driver circuit, generates an alternating signal as a timing signal for periodically inverting a polarity of a liquid crystal apply voltage applied to the liquid crystal by the signal driver circuit via the pixel electrodes, and outputs the output display data, the output synchronizing signal, and the alternating signal. A logical voltage level of the output display data output from the data processing circuit is different from a logical voltage level of the input display data received by the data processing circuit.

    摘要： An information processing system includes a bus; a display data generating circuit coupled to the bus for generating display data in a form of a plurality of bits for each of a plurality of pixels of a display panel; and a display apparatus coupled to the bus. The display data generating circuit includes a central processing unit and a memory. The display apparatus includes a display panel including a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scanning lines in a matrix form with pixels formed at intersections of the data lines and the scanning lines, the display panel being capable of displaying a grayscale image in accordance with the display data in a form of a plurality of bits for each of a plurality of pixels of a display panel; a signal driver for supplying driving voltages corresponding to the display data to at least a part of the plurality of data lines to display an image, the signal driver including a display memory for storing the display data and being constructed in an integrated circuit; and a scanning driver for scanning the plurality of scanning lines. The display data generating circuit transfers the display data via the bus to the display memory.

    摘要： A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display panel which includes data lines and scanning lines intersecting each other in a matrix arrangement, and a plurality of pixels each including a switching element, a common electrode, and a pixel electrode, with the pixels being disposed at intersections of the data lines and the scanning lines. The apparatus also includes a plurality of signal driver circuits which supply driving voltage signals in accordance with display data to the data lines of the liquid crystal display panel, a scan driver circuit which sequentially selects the scanning lines of the liquid crystal display panel one at time, a power source circuit which supplies power voltages to the signal driver circuits and the scan driver circuit to supply power to the signal driver circuits and the scan driver circuit to enable the signal driver circuits and the scan driver circuit to operate. The signal driver circuits are divided into a first signal driver circuit group and a second signal driver circuit group. The power source circuit supplies a first power voltage to each signal driver circuit in the first signal driver circuit group, and supplies a second power voltage different from the first power voltage to each signal driver circuit in the second signal driver circuit group.

    摘要： A dot matrix display system for multiple-tone displays, including a display device in which pixels are arrayed in a matrix shape, an LC (liquid-crystal) drive signal generator which converts color display data into LC display data, an 8-level data driver which selects one of 8-level voltages in accordance with the LC display data and then delivers the selected voltage, and an 8-level applied LC voltage generator by which the 8-level voltages to be applied to the pixels are produced so as to substantially make uniform color differences between the respectively adjacent tones of the multiple-tone displays. Owing to the substantially uniform color differences between the respectively adjacent tones, multiple-tone displays which are uniformly seen by the human eye can be obtained.
