Abstract: An evaluating user equipment (UE) includes memory and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the memory. The one or more processor are configured to schedule periodic resources with one or more configured feedback-based collision detection parameters, and perform a periodic transmission to one or more receiving UEs. The one or more processors are also configured to collect negative acknowledgement (NACK) statistics for the periodic transmission according to the configured feedback-based collision detection parameters, and selectively perform corrective action based on the collected NACK statistics and at least one of the configured feedback-based collision detection parameters.

Abstract: Groupcast communications between devices of a group of devices, e.g. between vehicles in a platoon, may include a device in the group transmitting a groupcast message in a sidelink transmission to the other devices and receiving feedback information in sidelink transmissions from the other devices within the same channel occupancy time (CoT). The feedback information may be transmitted by the other devices in response to the groupcast message including an information request directed to the other devices. The group of devices may include a designated group leader which may manage one or more aspects of the communications of the other devices in the group. The designated group leader may be dynamically switched based at least on the received feedback information. The devices in the group may use beamforming for intra-group and inter-group sidelink communications for efficient spectrum usage.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing uplink and downlink communication in cell edge scenarios with improved reliability. A wireless device may establish a radio resource control connection with a first cell. The wireless device may determine that a second cell strongly interferes with communication with the first cell. The wireless device may provide an indication that the second cell is a strongly interfering cell to the first cell. The first cell may coordinate with the second cell to transmit data to the wireless device, and to receive data from the wireless device, based at least in part on the indication that the second cell is a strongly interfering cell.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of a device that selects a periodic resource associated with a pre-empted resource on a wireless link between a first user equipment and one or more second user equipment is described. In exemplary embodiments, the device detects a pre-empted resource that is one of a plurality of resources reserved for a first UE on a wireless link between the first UE and a second UE. In addition, the device may determine a new resource for the pre-empted resource. The device may further determine a periodic resource for the plurality of reserved resources.

Abstract: A device may wirelessly communicate according to a first radio access technology (RAT) within a first bandwidth part (BWP) of a frequency spectrum in which wireless communications according to other RAT(s) also take place. The device may be instructed to operate/communicate within a second BWP of the frequency spectrum responsive to the device successfully completing a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure within a specified portion of the second BWP, where the second BWP contains the first BWP while the first BWP does not contain the specified portion of the second BWP. The device may also be instructed to operate/communicate within a specified frequency band (SFB) of the frequency spectrum responsive to the device successfully completing an LBT procedure within the SFB, where the SFB is not contiguous with the frequency band that includes the first BWP. The device may then simultaneously operate within the second frequency band and the first frequency band.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured to transmit a scheduling request (SR) to a second UE which causes the second UE to determine a set of sidelink transmission resources for use by the UE. The UE may then receive information regarding a determined set of sidelink transmission resources from the second UE and then transmit sidelink communications using at least a subset of the determined set of sidelink transmission resources. The determined set of sidelink transmission resources may be recommended and reserved or non-reserved resources. The UE may transmit configuration information concerning transmission resources to the second UE to be used in transmitting, the SR. The second UE may monitor the channel for arrival of the resources. The SR may be encoded as a cyclic shift of the SR corresponding to an ACK-only sequence, an ACK/NACK sequence, or a certain sequence of the SR based on a configuration index.

Abstract: A device and method for power optimization for a user equipment (UE) without neighbor cell measurement configuration. The UE may be configured with Connected Discontinuous Reception (C-DRX) functionality including a cycle with an onDuration. The UE may be configured with carrier aggregation (CA) in the unlicensed spectrum including a reference signal (DRS) monitoring timing configuration (DMTC) occasion that occurs outside of the onDuration. The UE determines at least one subframe of the onDuration for the UE to utilize an active mode of processing related to performing measurements corresponding to a cell utilizing the unlicensed spectrum. The UE determines to utilize a sleep mode of processing related to performing the measurements during the DMTC occasion based on detecting a first downlink signal transmitted by the cell during the at least one subframe of the onDuration.

The UE may receive, from the base station, an update to one or more PUCCH resources within the group of PUCCHs via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) that may include one of a resource ID indicating an update to a PUCCH resource or the group ID to update the group of PUCCH resources. The UE may update, based on the MAC-CE, the one or more PUCCH resources within the group of PUCCHs.
