Abstract:
A gas separation system suited for extraction of gas dissolved in pressurized fluid. The system includes a semi-permeable membrane in the form of tubing having an inner core volume with an internal support present within the inner core volume. The internal support provides multiple cylindrical supporting surfaces which are presented to the inside tubing wall surface to prevent collapse of the tubing wall against external pressure. Internal supports may include a coil of spring-like configuration fitted coaxially within the tubing; or multiple filaments that form a longitudinal bundle within the core of the tubing. The response time of the system may be enhanced by the presence of an outer tubular conduit surrounding the semi-permeable membrane tubing and providing a flow path for the external fluid to increase the rate of diffusion of dissolved gases through the semi-permeable membrane. Gas pressures may be a sensed, both total and partial, as well as the identity of respective sampled gases.
Abstract:
Systems, apparatus and methods are described whereby a common power distribution line to which a number of non-networked printers at a given site are connected. The printers are enabled to transfer performance data such as the number of pages printed by each printer to a central data collection station. The central data collection station aggregates the data from each printer may send the aggregated data onto a system print owner/manager. Each printer in the system is provided with a modified power supply or “brick” which normally functions to transform the supply current from the power distribution line to a lower voltage (i.e., 24 v AC) and supply the transformed voltage to the printer for operation thereof. A power-line networking function or capability is added to the “brick” which allows it to communicate with a data collection appliance over the common power distribution line. The “brick” is also modified to contain a feature which permits counting of each page printed on a respective printer.

Abstract:
A set of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for a resource-limited environment are disclosed. The APIs provide a mechanism for a computer application to interface with various components and modules of an operating system for a resource-limited environment. The APIs further provide a mechanism to interface with input/output devices commonly found in embedded systems running in a resource-limited environment.
Abstract:
Various systems, methods, and programs are provided that facilitate access to a secure application. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes encrypting at least one authentication sequence in a computer system using a network identifier as an encryption key, and storing the encrypted at least one authentication sequence in a memory accessible to the computer system. Next, the encrypted at least one authentication sequence is decrypted using a second network identifier as a decryption key, the second network identifier is procured after storing the encrypted at least one authentication sequence. Thereafter, an expedited login task is performed to access the application with the at least one authentication sequence if the decryption of the at least one authentication sequence is successful.

Abstract:
A process is provided for repairing the horizontal mount area of a JT9D turbine exhaust case having two mounting flanges by inspecting the horizontal mount area, weld repairing any defects found in the case wall and installing a reinforcement brace onto the inside of the case wall in the horizontal mount area, wherein the reinforcement brace overlaps an area under one mounting flange and extends to and overlaps the area under the second mounting flange.
Abstract:
A duplexing image forming device which selectively directs printed pages back onto the original paper supply, flipped over with respect to the page's original position and swapping the leading edge for the trailing edge, for printing on a second side. The formatter in the image forming device then instructs the printer engine to print the second side of the page and reverses the order of data supplied to the print engine. A paper diverter is installed at the output of the fuser mechanism in the print engine. The diverter selectively diverts paper from the standard output path into a vertical gravity reversing slot through three reversing rollers. The paper is fed from the diverter up through the nip between the single driven reversing roller and an idler reversing roller. The driven reversing roller pushes the paper up into the vertical gravity reversing slot. As the trailing edge of the paper exits the nip between the driven reversing roller and the first idler roller, the trailing edge is carried by the driven reversing roller up and over that roller into the nip between the second idler reversing roller and the driven reversing roller. The driven reversing roller then forces the new leading edge of the paper through a duplexing channel where a duplex paper drive mechanism directs the paper onto the top of the existing paper supply tray.
Abstract:
A vehicle having an elongated fore-and-aft main frame from opposite sides of which laterally disposed and spaced apart rigid support portions project. The support portions are horizontally coplanar and are arranged in pairs so that each pair supports a bale between them, the spacing of the portions in each pair being such that the bale is supported with its axis horizontal and above the plane of the supports. The supports terminate in free outer ends to facilitate loading and unloading of the bales. Bale stops are fixedly carried by the main frame centrally between transversely aligned pairs of support portions so as to limit inward movement of the bales when loaded and carried by the vehicle.
