摘要: A method for replacing an existing generator frame that supports a generator of a wind turbine includes removing the generator from atop the existing generator frame. The method also includes dismounting a control cabinet of the wind turbine from the existing generator frame. More specifically, the control cabinet is electrically connected to one or more wind turbine components via a plurality of cables. The method further includes relocating and securing the control cabinet to an uptower location within a nacelle of the wind turbine with the plurality of cables remaining electrically connected. As such, the method includes removing the existing generator frame from within the nacelle. Moreover, the method includes installing a new generator frame in place of the removed existing generator frame. Thus, the method also includes remounting the control cabinet to the new generator frame.

摘要: A method of replacing an anchor bolt used to support a wind turbine to a foundation. The method includes providing the wind turbine and the foundation supporting the wind turbine. The foundation includes a lower base flange, at least one anchor bolt extending between the lower base flange and a lower tower flange of the wind turbine, and a rigid body at least partially formed around the at least one anchor bolt. The method further includes drilling a core in the lower tower flange and the rigid body circumferentially around the anchor bolt and removing the anchor bolt and the core to create a cavity. The method further includes inserting a replacement anchor bolt into the cavity and coupling the replacement anchor bolt to the lower base flange. The replacement anchor bolt may then be tensioned.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a fluid apparatus with flanges that are fastened together may include the following steps: fastening the flanges with a fastening member; introducing a fluid into an internal space of the fluid apparatus, and plastically deforming portions of the flanges that form seats for receiving the fastening member and portions of the flanges that form mating surfaces with pressure of the fluid being applied; releasing the fastening member and correcting at least the mating surfaces out of the seats and the mating surfaces; and refastening the flanges.

摘要: A method of retrofitting a tooth unit to a trailing edge of a wind turbine rotor blade. A portion of the trailing edge of the rotor blade is cut out and removed. That can be affected when the rotor blade is still disposed on a hub of the wind power installation (that is to say in the mounted state). A tooth retrofitting unit is glued or adhesively fixed on the trailing edge of the wind turbine rotor blade in the cut-out and removed portion. The tooth retrofitting unit has a V-shaped profile and at its first side has two fixing arms and at an opposite side a plurality of teeth. The two fixing arms are adhesively secured to the trailing edge of the rotor blade to mount the tooth retrofitting unit.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to tip extensions for wind turbine rotor blades and methods of installing same. The method includes removing a removable blade tip of a lightning protection system from the rotor blade so as to expose a down conductor of the lightning protection system. The method also includes securing a conductive extension to the down conductor. Moreover, the method includes sliding the first end of the tip extension over the conductive extension so as to overlap the rotor blade at the tip end. In addition, the method includes securing the removable blade tip to the conductive extension at the second end of the tip extension. Further, the method includes securing the tip extension to the rotor blade.

摘要: The present invention is directed to repair compositions for thermal barrier coatings and methods of use thereof. The repair compositions include a ceramic composition, a colloidal solution, an aqueous binder, an aqueous dispersant, and an aqueous ammonia solution. The ceramic composition includes a first population of yttria-stabilized zirconia particles having a mean diameter from about 250 nm to about 1000 nm, a second population of yttria-stabilized zirconia particles having a mean diameter from about 2 μm to about 10 μm, and a third population of yttria-stabilized zirconia particles having a mean diameter from about 20 μm to about 250 μm. One method includes depositing the repair layer onto the damaged region, the repair layer including the repair composition, and heat treating the repair layer.

The system includes an articulating guide configured to fit into an access port of the gas turbine engine. Further, the articulating guide has a proximal end and a distal end. The system also includes a repair tool configured at a distal end of the articulating guide. The repair tool includes a body having a proximal end and a shaped distal end, with the shaped distal end extending away from the body. Thus, the shaped distal body is configured to trench out an area of the abradable material comprising a defect. The system also includes a filler material for filling the trenched out area.
