摘要: Article (e.g., turbine engine fan or compressor blade) comprising a titanium alloy has a first portion with alpha+beta microstructure and a second portion with martensitic or a bimodal microstructure. The modified microstructure of the second portion is provided by selectively heating, and immediately quenching, the second portion without substantially heating the first portion. An exemplary method includes providing a near net-shaped article having a first portion (e.g., an airfoil region) and a second portion (e.g., an unfinished dovetail region). Initially, the article comprises an alpha+beta microstructure throughout. Thereafter, the second portion is selectively heated, followed by immediate quenching, without substantially heating the first portion, to modify the microstructure of the second portion to a martensitic or bimodal microstructure without substantially modifying the microstructure of the first portion. Thereafter, the second portion may be processed to a final body dimension.

摘要: Remote enclosure systems have now been designed that meet the following goals: a) consolidates electrical terminations in one system; b) pre-terminates AC and DC equipment loads before site installation; c) provides multiple access points for facilitating equipment repair and installation; d) is easily expanded through the use of additional systems or expansion cabinets and e) is aesthetically functional given the cable entry and routing structure. Remote enclosure systems generally comprise: a) a frame system further comprising at least two side panels; b) at least one door coupled to the frame system; c) at least one removable radiofrequency (RF) port plate coupled to at least one of the side panels and/or the frame system; d) a bottom panel coupled to the frame system; and e) a cable management top assembly coupled to the frame system.

摘要: A panel mounted low profile rotary switch (100) contains a detent mechanism (120) mounted in a bushing (110). In a preferred class of embodiments, the detent sub-assembly comprises a single spring (220) positioned in parallel within the vertical extending shaft (130). The force exerted by the spring is manually adjusted by a set screw (210) to provide the desired downward applied vertical force on a plunger (230). The plunger, preferably a pointed cylinder, applies pressure to detent balls (240) causing the detent balls to move radially outward and engage rotorcams located on the inner surface of the detent mechanism.

摘要: An electrosurgical apparatus having a counter/lockout mechanism that monitors the number of sterilization/use cycles the electrosurgical apparatus undergoes and indicates the number of sterilization/use cycles that have actually been performed. The counter/lockout mechanism includes a temperature actuated element actuated in response to each sterilization cycle and a mechanically actuated element in response to a use cycle to effectuate a change of one or a plurality of indicia. The counter/lockout mechanism causes a single increment or decrement for each sterilization/use cycle that has been completed while also impeding use of the electrosurgical apparatus when the electrosurgical apparatus has undergone a predetermined number of sterilization/use cycles. In one embodiment, the distance of movement of the mechanically actuated element when fully actuated is greater than the distance the indicator moves when illustrating a change in the number of remaining uses.
