    Abstract: A rotating electrical machine has a magnetic field-producing unit, an armature with armature windings for multiple phases, and a rotor implemented by one of the magnetic field-producing unit and armature. The armature winding of each phase has a conductor portion. The conductor portion is made of a bundle of wires and has a resistance value between the bundled wires larger than that within each of the wires. Each conductor portion includes magnet facing portions arranged at a given interval away from each other and face the magnet unit. The magnet facing portions of the same phase are connected in series. The wires of the conductor portion of the same phase are connected in parallel. The order of locations of the wires of each of the magnet facing portions for the same phase is different between given portions of the magnet facing portion in an axial direction of the rotor.

    Abstract: In a rotating electrical machine, a field generator includes a magnet unit and a cylindrical magnet holder. The magnet unit includes circular-arc magnets arranged in the circumferential direction. Each magnet has an outer peripheral surface. The magnet unit includes a magnet fastening member configured to fasten the magnets. Each magnet has first and second end surfaces in the circumferential direction. The first end surface of each magnet is located to be in contact with the magnet located adjacent to the first end surface thereof. The second end surface of each magnet is located to be in contact with the magnet located adjacent to the second end surface thereof. The magnet fastening member is wound around the outer peripheral surfaces of the circumferentially arranged magnets to radially and inwardly press the outer peripheral surfaces of the circumferentially arranged magnets.

The magnet includes a pair of shoulders and a housing hole configured to house the magnet such that the pair of shoulders are arranged in a circumferential direction. The rotor core includes an inner core, a pair of supporters, and a covering portion. The inner core is located radially inward of the housing hole. The pair of supporters is located radially outward of the inner core and arranged in the circumferential direction through the housing hole. The covering portion connects between the pair of supporters. The supporters are configured to support the magnet by holding the pair of shoulders. The covering portion is configured to cover the magnet from radially outside of the magnet and has a thin portion connected to at least the pair of supporters.

The field system includes a magnet section having a plurality of magnetic poles whose polarities alternate in a circumferential direction. The armature includes a multi-phase armature coil.     Abstract: A rotary electrical machine including an annular stator having a stator core around which an armature winding is wound, and a rotor arranged on an inner circumference of the stator, a permeance of a q-axis magnetic circuit is made larger than a permeance of a d-axis magnetic circuit. The machine includes a switch for supplying power to a field winding and controller. The controller calculates the duty ratio on the condition that an upper limit of the duty ratio of the switch is a predetermined value and turns on/off the switch based on the calculated ratio. The predetermined value is set to a value larger than the duty ratio corresponding to the field current that gives the maximum reduction amount of the inductance of the field winding with respect to an increasing amount of the field current in a range that the current can take and is less than 100%.

    Abstract: A vehicle alternating-current power generator includes a stator formed by winding an armature winding on a stator core and a rotor arranged on the radial inside of the stator.
